Ended up not kicking two people that didn't fall under conditions, RicJames (visited PoE forum in the last few days) and Sintflut2012 (been a while since I saw him but 2012 join date and I remember playing HC with the guy. We'll see if he'll show up <3).
As usual I probably threw someone out who missed this thread and wasn't active for a bit, please just re-apply to the usual suspects or post in this thread with a charactername of yours.
@EvoPlsLessButtons @GameOfScience (LagLovah) @TyrgoesTrappin @Bringer_of_RainS (Oversky) @Kickstart__ @ProtectorCorvo (Echelon - has someone seen him around in a while?) @EvoBurngeIina (Blitz) @Smuftly
Make sure you spread the love a bit so that the first few don't end up with all the messages. yo mates!
I am back for Asc, dont kick me out :D

For my part I still think that the ancestral protector totem is broken as shit and that nobody knows about it. Still wondering if it scales with increased weapon damage ( wording seems to indicate yes, but no confirmation yet).
So I'll run my usual mellee marauder and depending on how easy/hard it is to have this ancestral guy do all the work for me, I'll either go Cheiftain or Juggernaut.

Anyone want to team up tonight? Want to play until my fingers bleed

A question: How does Fortify work with physical dmg reduction? Say I have phys reduction capped at 90 % for a hit by a phys attack that would normally do 100 damage without armor. I also have 20 % dmg reduction because of Fortify. Do they count one after another so I would recieve 8 damage after reduction? If so that means Fortify does much more for you when you have shit phys reduction.

Thhis link has the info you want. It's better with other mitigation since it works as the very last mechanic, you got it the wrong way around.
Count in # amounts of hits it takes us to die and it should be more obvious.

Hey please reinvite me will be back for Asc - char name - Minervon

Hm? Why would you not be able to cap phys reduction? It's not only armor that grants phys reduction, it's also endurance charges/nodes that give you flat % phys reduction on top of your armor-caused reduction. Your armor might not be able to reach it alone but with other sources it be achievable. Looking at the formular and the graphs on the armor page there is also no reason to assume that you can't reach the phys cap just by armor, theoretically. I reality the hits will mostly be far to big to achieve that but that's another story. Apparently, the phys reduction hits the 90 % cap for a 100 damage hit if you have around 9000 k armor for example.
It also shouldn't matter for the calculation whether Fortify or phy reduction is counted first. Both would result in the same percentage in reduction. Let's say you have 80 % phys reduction (for the sake of calculating, the number doesn't really matter). Phys reduction before Fortify for a 100 hit would mean:
Recieved Damage=(100-80)*4/5=16
And for Fortify before phys reduction:
Recieved Damage=(100-20)*2/10=16
You last sentence obviously makes sense. It's more effective in combination because you will recieve less damage in the end. I guess what I meant was that it gives you less raw damage reduction. Percentaged damage reduction is always the same because it will always grant you 20 %. I guess you can say it's more efficient because other mechanics scale worse percentage-wise at higher reduction-values.

If you pick that Duelist class your Foritfy will be at least 24% anyway, so better calculate with that. And yeah I agree you should be able to reach it, especially if you get 7 endurance charges, pick the phys reduction nodes and still stack armor. Though in rare cases where the monsters deal 15k physical damage it might still not be enough.

The skill is a hassle to use, that's the problem with it. With some AoE nodes and now with the buffed Lesser Duration it is probably quite decent. But you still gotta click the enemies, only Multistrike helps a bit.
http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/105920 Lazy Pally CAN be good with Static Strike for example, but for it to clear decently fast you gotta have good items and high level. It's a little bit too defensive imo. Though Inquisitor might fix that now.

Here is a very useful spreadsheet for calculating how many hits you can take: jsfiddle.net
As far as I recall the monster damage average is taken from some datamined stuff after Malachai release.

I mean unless there's a way to get to 90% without armor that I'm unaware of (beyond Immortal Call, obviously) there will always exist a physical damage number large enough that your armor will no longer reduce it below 90% just because of how the formula works. I am not sure what the biggest phys hit in the game that you would need to reduce is, though.

Is RF totem the new lazy start option for HC? God, i still dont know what to play. So many choices D:

If you're going to use discord I highly recommend taking some time to configure it. If you're using the webapp then there is no push to talk so taking a few minutes to set up your voice threshold properly will keep everyone else happy.

Installed discord and using push to talk, we have no PoE room though for me to check things out in O_O.
