Yes, and we have Dortmund in pot 4 + Leverkusen in pot 3 in the CL

If a godlike player such as Schwensteiger ends up at a bad club like Arsenal I hang myself. Schwensteiger and Lahm are two players who should never leave Bayern.

still a 12 point gap for italy to make up. won't happen any time soon.

Qualifier finished, the most interesting thing: AC Milan stays in pot 2 because Arsenal and Bayern qualify, so I can have my dream group consisting of Real/AC Milan/Man City/Dortmund.
Please let that happen!
And something like Bayern/CSKA Moscow/FC Basel/Trabzonspor :p

World Cup 2006: - Germany: 3rd - Netherlands: Ro16
European Cup 2008: - Germany: 2nd - Netherlands: Ro8
World Cup 2010: - Germany: 3rd, but having faced England (4:1), Argentina (4:0) and Spain (0:1) - Netherlands: 2nd, faced Slovakia (2:1), Brasil (2:1) and Uruguay (3:2)
i think germany has been more steady in the last 5 years compared to the netherlands, and germany's opponents in the knock out stage were the strongest of the tournament.
and now during the qualifying stage for Euro 2012 both teams won all of their games.
so considering the facts above germany is way above the netherlands.
and i also don't see how england is rated on 4th place, they didn't even qualify for Euro 2008 and only reached Ro16 at world cup 2010

i myself am a passionate bayern fan, but lets hope for the sake of the bundesliga that dortmund and leverkusen also get an easy group. if hannover knocks out sevilla on thursday and schalke manage to beat helsinki the bundesliga has a great chance to take over spain's second place.
spain only ahead by a 3.655 point margin.

Yes, Benfica is in the group stages of Champions League

I was under the impression the FIFA rankings are based on much more recent events than four years ago. Germany are the more consistent team, but right now, for me the Netherlands has better players and a better team. That will likely change in the very near future, Germany has a great young team and more exciting players up-and-coming than the Netherlands does.
And England don't belong in the top ten, never mind fourth. Lets face it FIFA rankings are a bit of a farce, much like the rest of the organisation.

No danish team in champions league this year too bad. 2 in europa league tho but it's not the same

Great save from Szczesny tonight, it's nice to have a decent keeper for a change.

Wow Nasri is a little bitch, calling out Arsenal fans. That one is all about the money, isn't he?

yeah, nasri's been known to be a petulant little bitch from his french international days. remember that fiasco he had with gallas? a little bitch with a horse face. that's how i view him.

agree with the 2 posts above. BUT, maybe it's a good idea moving away from Arsenal. Still too early to tell. Arsenal looks to be fked after losing Fabregas, and now Nasri.
|
I'm not too concerned - it looks like they were pretty badly affected by the uncertainty hanging over them regarding Cesc and Nasri, but they played well against Udinese. With the right signings, and 90mil means you can make those, they should be alright for a top four position. Still, it's a big blow to lose both, although Nasri is replaceable.
Not making himself any friends back at the Emirates is he? Lets face it, he can talk about the passion of the fans all he wants but he left for a paycheck and that never goes down well with the fans of a proud club like Arsenal. Cesc was always going to go back to Barca and taking a paycut shows his determination in that, so it's easier to swallow even if we had hoped it would be later rather than sooner.
So! Kaka to Arsenal, anyone?

Yeah, they rejected Arsenal's bid to get Kaka on loan for the season, BUT they want to sell Kaka not loan him out, and apparently Arsenal can have him for 17 million, which Wenger is 'considering' (I read it somewhere, probably an unreliable source) as Mourinho doesn't have Kaka in his plans or something.
So with 5~ days left in the transfer window, I really hope Wenger signs someone big, preferably Hazard / Kaka and an established CB.
