Seriously...don't. I recommend anything by Black Isle/Bioware from the last decade. You can probably run everything before Dragon Age on that thing. Also, SNES/GBA/GBC emulators can be used to great effect on old machines for some quality gaming time.

google d2jsp first link ( trades only ) There's another site that helps new people I think http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=9 ( ppl on this forum don't like the one above ) crafting = good way to get bugged items ( they act like rares( can get any modifier that rares could ) but with possibilities of getting the same modifiers twice ( which would stack ) ( Some modifiers depend on certain iLvL and certain Character Level ( your char's level when you're crafting ) Crafting = very cheap, but sort of time consuming to mass the gems to make them item level = based on monster level ( Hell Baal can spawn iLvl 99 grand charms / possibility to reroll the modifiers until you get +1 skill + 1-45 life mods ) would take a lot of gems... to reroll with... you could also trade tons of gems for items if you wanted ( since some people would want the gems to reroll with and they don't need those other items )

you dont' have 4 teamates yelling at you and 5 opponents loling at you for the first 20-25 games (30 mins each hf) if you have friends then do it since they can teach you. only 1/3 of the people in the dota community will actually help you if you say "help im new" honestly you should get into brood war. it's fun, it's less frustrating than sc2, it's rewarding and it's well played out already. honestly i'd be playing broodwar over sc2 right now if sc2 wasn't so big. it's nice to play a game knowing it has a future in western esports, but if you're for mastery and for competitiveness broodwar is the way 2 go.

I just can't get past how assholey people are. And I'm kinda overwhelmed by the number of champs there are.

http://www.quakelive.com/ It's ridiculously hard to newcomers, but I think it's skill matching is decent. I was helping my friends get into the game in a FFA match and the other players weren't timing pickups or collecting weapons, which is the SC-equivalent of building a barracks and never building more than 6 workers.
