TvT, just expo more and get more geysers to balance resources. don't worry about losing the CC, lift off if they attack you without gols and then run your scvs away if you can. and hotkey facts to spend resources while you drop tanks or lay mines.

Oh, and if you still have extra money after pumping out some rounds of units, just build more Facs/Gateways/Hatcheries. 8+ is never a bad number to have.

XD ask away Yeah no one's going to judge him, but you won't see Nazgul or Eriador frequenting this thread.

My best advice for that is to hotkey one of your main building structures and to constantly double-tap back to it every 15-20 seconds or so, even during battles. The micro isn't as intense as it is in War3, so missing a couple seconds to pump out some more units won't hurt you as much or in some cases end the game like it can in War3. Oh, and if you still have extra money after pumping out some rounds of units, just build more Facs/Gateways/Hatcheries. 8+ is never a bad number to have. and to build off of this, some pros hotkey a shitload of gateways/fact/hatches from like 5-0 but i think the average player and pull off the double-tap on just a fact on 5 and then go around clicking the neighboring facts around the '5' fact. don't worry so much about losing your army of the moment as long as you have good econ and macro to replace all your lost units. i know that losing your entire army in TFT is basically gG in most cases but it's different for BW. I usually have six to eight gates up alone, off of a main and a natural on Lotem. So you can easily get more than eight facts if you have four expos.

But either way, yeah I don't mind discussing Brood War at all. Us War3 players know how to discuss games other than what we play full time =]

If we had a tourny I'd have to practice for like a month before I'd be used to the much, MUCH faster gameplay. Edit: Aether: Sorry I couldn't PM you a time last night, I ended up being afk whole night... Is Tuesday good for you? Anytime after 1:30 PM EST is good for me, just give me a time.

![]() This could be so much fun! Of course first both types of players would have some time to fasmiliarize themselves with the game (eg. splitting everyone into 2 player teams - one guy from BW, one from W3 so one could teach the other some basics of the game his better at). What do you think? ^^

What do you think? ^^ What if you're kind of in between? I played Warcraft 3 for about 2 years starting from ROC beta but then stopped completely after 1.14 and then picked up Starcraft which I played until a few months ago. I'm technically more of a W3 player than a BW player but I've been out of touch with W3 so long that I might as well be a BW player trying to play W3 ![]()
