Dire got changed in 1.12, and uh I think Blizzard is just retarded about that mineral thing. In TvT, you're gonna have lots of minerals regardless. You're going to want to expand like Rome of course, so that should help with gas, but regardless you're going to have tons of leftover minerals because of the mineral-to-gas income ratio as well as the bulk of your production units costing a bit of gas. Vultures can sometimes be good, but I wouldn't rely on them to do a whole lot of damage in TvT.

I dunno how much many people in this section would be able to help though. I mean there's a lot of us who used to play Brood War and some of us were very good (I played in WCG and a lot of tournaments back in the day), but many of us have been inactive for a long time. I haven't played more than a few games for fun since WCG 2003 semi-finals. So unless someone who stills plays and is good happens to drop by, you might not get the best advice. But oh well, Brood War is always fun to discuss. Especially since Puerto Rican recruited me as a GGL StarCraft referee, so I'd probably better start getting back into it some.
