Quick note before I whip out final stats - playoff games are to be organized the same way as divisional play and played the same as well. EXCEPT for three things: these games are best of 5, not three; first map is Gnoll Wood - then you choose from the same map pool as before - plus Echo Islands.
Also there is somewhat of a schedule to make it easier to obs. 8pm est every night until Tuesday night (it being the last night) will be a time to meet for everyone to be able to meet and obs games. If this is the way you can complete your game PM me and leave a message in the thread for everyone stating what day you will be playing your opponent so people can watch. The other option: if you and your opponent can not meet from ~8-9pm est in the next 3 nights PM me letting me know when you will play. YOU MUST PM ME letting me know that you and your opponent have had contact and what's going on.
Okay some of the games over the past couple of nights went as follows:

Predictions: Akutsu in 3 games for obvious reasons. SoleSteeler in 4 because I think he was in an arguably better division and came away with the same record. KingOrlandu in 5 is the biggest guess of a choice - because Ghardo's only losses came to Akutsu, but I think overall Orlando's been in a more competitive division which may help him come playoffs. Of course then there's the fact that I've never seen Ghardo play.. And fizr in 4 for the last match. RoTaNiMoD's good but he's not as seasoned in TFT as fizr is. If he had began earlier this series may have been different.

March 02 19:40-Division done, possible new player..
Division C finished up as t0u defeated playterran 2:0 (TM,TR). This secures t0u 2nd place in his division and a spot in the final tournament. RoTaNiMoD defeated greywind 2:0 as well (TM,LT).
If you haven't played a game and still plan on participating you need to contact me soon - within 24 hours. If you haven't played and have an exscuse you should contact me as well - or just don't play in the next few tournaments. We have replacements who want to play and are on waiting (namely WaweR, former captain of Team Poland).
Also, if you still want to play and did not make it originally we may be eliminating a few people, so PM the registration information. That is if you think you can get the games done by Saturday! We'll take as many as we can.
ALSO- if you've only played one game and are still looking to participate PM me! I need to know you guys are still here.

March 01 19:55-On we go..
Group B got a huge amount of games done tonight:
Solesteeler defeated myLonelyCowboy 2:0(TM, TR) and imp0ster 2:0 (TM,TR). In the first 2:1 series during divisional play he was defeated by Orlandu 2:1 - Losing on TM as NEvH, winning on LT as H versus Orlandu's random Human and losing on TR in an NEvNE. Orlandu then defeated myLonelyCowboy 2:0 (TM,TR).
All these games minus a few were 1.17, so even though I hear of a couple of good games they aren't watchable. It's better that 1.18 came out now than later though, the best games are yet to come.

The first match in group b was played tonight - MyLonelyCowboy defeated imp0ster 2:0 on TM and LT.
Every series so far has been 2:0.
update: Orlandu also played imp0ster and defeated him 2:0 TM and TR.

February 27 18:40-Updated scores.
Group C has completed all matches but one. Liquid.t0u was defeated by Fizr 2:0 (TM, GW) and defeated SSregine 2:0 (TM, TR). This locks the 1st place position up for Fizr and means second place for t0u with a victory over playterran.
A quick message to group A: hakke.64 is on Battle.net right now looking for one of you to play. Message him if he is still on when you log on.
To group B: start playing your games.

February 26 22:44-Divisional play has started.
Group A complete one bo3 - RoTaNiMoD defeated Doggies 2:0 on Twisted Meadows and Plunder Isle for some reason - even though it's not in the map pool. In Group C Fizr defeated Ssregine 2:0 (TM and Turtle Rock) and playterran 2:0 (TM and Gnoll Wood) and Ssregine defeated playterran 2:0 (TM, Gnoll Wood).
Today was full of a lot of "Oh sweet jesus, Aether's in this?" comments - all well deserved. But I know there are atleast some people around here who can and will give him a good game or two.. so get playing.
Quick update: Speaking of which Aether wins his first series, eh, quickly. In 6 minutes versus DuR on TM. DuR conceded the second game.

February 25 20:59 -And here we are. We have a perfectly round number of 16 for four groups of four. In this post I'll keep the standings updated and post whatever tournament related news needs to be posted. Be sure to look at the sign up thread if you have any questions on the format not answered in this thread.
The tournament will progress like this:
All players will play the rest of their division once in a best of three series. The first game is on Twisted Meadows. From there the loser chooses the next game from the map pool of Lost Temple, Gnoll Wood and Turtle Rock. If needed the loser of the second game chooses a map from the same pool - but the same map cannot be played twice in a series.
Reporting the games is pretty simple. The most important part is to save every replay. After the series send me a report stating who won, races and maps ALONG WITH the replays as an attached file. Send them to apexcp@gmail.com with the subject of "Tournament Report". The replays are required because afterward we'll hopefully be making a replay pack of the tournament's best games -- So in the report you can recommend a particularly good game if it occurred. You have 1 week to report - From today, Saturday the 26th until next Saturday!
After all divisional games are played the top two in each division will advance to the final playoff tournament. The seedings will be based on win's and losses - Whenever two players are tied the tie will be broken by the amount of "real" losses they had (i.e. A series won 2-1 would have 1 "real" loss but would be counted as a win overall.) If there is still a tie there will be a tiebreaker series (with all previous rules applying) for the higher seed.
To contact an opposing player you can use the PM system or B.net. Below are the Azeroth ID's of all players followed by the TL.net names of all players in parentheses. If you have trouble contacting them within a short time PM me and I'll give you the e-mail address they supplied.
