It's a shame too, because a lot of the recent T6 tournaments had Aris + Markman commentary, which is fun enough that I always watch even though I'm a pure scrub at Tekken. mlg did try tekken 5 as well, but it was a disaster as payouts weren't fully agreed upon and both communities agreed to split at the time.
mlg wasn't that hot back then, though.
i think this year with evo and the evo series of tournaments where you can earn seeding points that it's on a path to something good though.

Salty is just a way of saying upset or frustrated. Charge characters you need to "charge" down or back or down, back (diagonal) for a couple seconds then you push forward or up and the button designated for that either kick or punch. Most people will charge down and back so they can use their down to up move and their back to forward move. Practice in training mode to get a feeling for how long you need to charge for, its a safe bet you can try counting to 3 then push forward, or up, and the move and it will come out.

As others already stated, Daigo Umehara. He's the reigning Evo champion, having won the last two championships in SF4 and SSF4 (and countless other tournaments). Also his AE Yun is looking goddamn unbeatable, so it's quite likely he'll win this year as well. I think only a really good Zangief can stop him at this point, so unless he meets Vangief or Itabashi Zangief (if he's attending) I don't see him having much trouble keeping the crown.

Personally I want another GamerBee to just appear out of the woodwork and BODY everyone at Evo. Get R'kelly all up in there, going to look like we had a golden shower marathon.

I love AquaSilk but he just plays really gimmicky and really unsafe. He tends to get away with a lot of "online" tactics like whiff s.hk SPD and whiff green hand Ultra 1. Now he's on this Ultra 2 kick where he will try desperately to land that Ultra 2 no matter what. He is nowhere near the level of Vangief or Itazan.

If your reputation proceeds you it's just another thing you can use to your advantage. The best example of this is during one of the Alex Valle WNF tutorials from awhile back. He said something along the lines of I can get away with it and people are scared because I'm Alex Valle.

Most charge moves require 55 frames to charge (Guile's Sonic Boom is 50 frames but I've heard 45 somewhere) and the game runs at 60 fps, so slightly under one full second. Most players tend to play it safe and charge for about 2 seconds because it's better for the special to come out than to have some normal come out when you really needed the charge move.

My arcade stick will be shipped in one or two days and I'm starting to ask myself how I'm gonna setup my buttons. What's best? Like all punches on the top row and all kicks on the bottom row? how about the two buttons far right? Do you guys have throw or focus attack bound to some button?
that's what im most likely gonna do if you don't have a better advice:
(lp) (mp) (hp) (lp+mp+hp) (lk) (mk) (hk) (lk+mk+hk)
but than again pressing all punches or kicks at the same time will probably not be a problem with a stick, so maybe I'm better of binding focus attack or throw to the buttons far right? meh ...

The setup you posted is default BUT I know of some people who leave the 4th buttons unbound.
If it helps any arcade is top row punches and bottom row kicks (only 6 buttons though

Are you guys having fun trying to juggle AE and SC2? I find I'll play one day of AE and then my mechanics go to shit the next day when I play some ladder games.

Don't think Daigo is gonna respect Aquasilk lol.

Aquasilk is a great player but he doesn't get any practice against Yun in new york, and he still uses the gimmicky U2.

Its fine juggling AE and SC2 I'm personally Diamond in SC2 and like 500pp AE, but I'm working on getting my AE skill up atm so taking a bit of a break from SC2

I have trouble juggling games due to work and not having a lot of time to spend on playing more than one game. So when I pick up a new game I tend to drop the other for a bit.

Honestly I am more than positive Daigo will win this years Evo. He is just to good right now and he's using one of the best characters in the game. It also helps when you have over a six month advantage with AE. I would be VERY surprised if he doesn't make it to the final two.

They don't have that much advantage because there were some arcades in america that had it. It was just "less" popular in north america because there was no major tournaments for it.
