DAAAAAAAMMMMNNN
lol that news is pretty insane. But still leaves players like Hsien Chang, Gamerbee, Xian, Wolfkrone, Poongko, etc. available ;o
Meh, too bad that there is pretty much no competition, so that he(Momochi) had to sign up with the likes of EG =/
Yeah, there are still tons of good players swimming in the pool.
I don't think theres anything wrong with signing with EG lol. It's not like Korean SC2 where they have pro training houses and stuff that offer better practice and a roof over their head. The move gives Ricky/Justin/Floe a chance to go to Japan and have a friendly person to be around while there, and vice versa for when Momochi/Choco come to the US

I'm talking about the sponsor, what he represents etc and not about practice houses(and lol, don't tell me what they are like, I watch BW after all ). And yeah, it's certainly good for the US players and probably Momochi as well(he could still travel with the others though). But that wasn't my point.

It's the reason MK9 will live on in MLG, since every game thats bigger (SFxT, Marvel 3, SSF4) won't license it out. If they allowed SF4 on the MLG circuit, or even Marvel 3 the scene would blow up for that much money 6 times a year.
Well yeah. One thing I think MLG is really good at is creating a good show around their games. And the FG scene already seems awesome at that.
On another topic though : I still can't get the ultra down for Ken. Even in training it says I do it perfectly but i must miss something. Is there some weird timing or distance or anything? (ive tried doing it from far away and close... Ive tried doing everything I can think of :p)
So far as I understand it it is QFCx2 + 3xP done rapidly. Is this wrong? :D
Woah woah, hold it right there, I never said MLG picking up would blow up a fighting game due to it being MLG, I said it'd blow up beacuse there is the cash of a 5 major events combined into one, 5 times a year with a championship with twice the money of EVO.
For your ultra problem, when you're in training mode are you turning on infinite "revenge meter" lol. May sound like a stupid question but its legitimate.
Also, are you inputing the QCF's fast enough? Those are the only two issues possible, if you're using the 3p button.
Probably not doing the QCF's fast enough or mistiming the punch. And I'm sorry if it seemed like i was putting words in your mouth. Not my intention, I was trying to make my own opponion known Thanks for the help btw

You're kidding me rite
Yeah, MLG ran Tekken 6 at all the same events as SC2. Tekken doesn't really get enough love in the US though. It's a shame too, because a lot of the recent T6 tournaments had Aris + Markman commentary, which is fun enough that I always watch even though I'm a pure scrub at Tekken.
Anybody know how to get custom costumes working on AE? Looked at the Shoryuken forums, found limited information about it there. Would be cool to mod Ken to this:
Also I would like to know more info on how to Ken's neutral jump crossup tatsu. A lot of recent replays show Ken's using this mixup successfully on a lot of different characters (Sagat / Yun). I'm pretty sure it's hardkick hurricane kick but I can't really get the timing (and not sure if it needs to be "karaed"). Will crosspost on the SRK Ken forums but would be cool if someone here knew.
Tekken is pretty bad as a spectator game, imo. It only makes sense if you play Tekken. I found it boring as hell to watch on all the past few streams where they had it on.
Tekken and MK for me don't have the tension to hold my focus/interest. I never feel like 'wow, what he did was impressive', but more that they just got lucky and then mechanically mashed out a combo. BlazBlue gets stale after an hour or so as well, because there are not so many different characters that are played, probably because the scene is pretty small. MvC3 is fun if people are using a wide array of characters (just Wolverine/Phoenix is boring as shit). AE is suffering a bit as well, with the huge influx of the twins. Really sad to see Nemo move away from Chun. Curious for the rise of Makoto though (one can hope!).

If its like Ryu's nf air tastu. I think it just depends on height.

What does the fighting community mean by "salty"? :S Also charge characters, I dont understand how the backward thing works, I only tap back once and then i can do forward + medium punch and I do the special move?
Salty is the same as sour or bitter, usually over a loss. Comparable to BM/Ragequiting and UMADBRO?!?
For charge characters, you want to hold downback whenever you're not doing anything, most of the time (outside of footsies/blocking correctly). It will charge back for the move, down for potential vertical charge moves and will keep your character put instead of walking backwards.
Is there a definitive best player for Street fighter i mean if i wanted to watch some-one who em-bodied the best and most skilled aspects of the game who would that be, i don't necessarily mean who wins the most, more-as who is considered to be the most skilled the character doesn't matter.

Not too deep into the scene but a name I've seen popping up over and over again is "Daigo" seems to be like the SlayersBoxer of Streetfighter or something.
