Juicebox is starting to teach SF4 on his stream recently
Although you may not like the guy, he made a lot of good points for anyone who wish to improve their game, I'd advice anyone to watch this, it's very eye opening I feel.

I listened to his 'Juicy Bits' before, I think he's brilliant. Analytic and technical but a wacky character at the same time. Information density is a bit low on this video, though.

Damn

Guy's new EX Tatsu is so quick to hit that he can kara cancel it into another EX Move now.
Two examples in this video, at 0:10, cancels it into a EX BunshinFlip, and at 1:49 into EX Run.



I don't think he can do it on block tho.

Are you certain this is how it works?

If it works on the EX tatsu and if it works on block and if it retains juggle points after the first hit then this would be super strong.

EX tatsu xx run -> stop -> followup?

It's the same thing that makes Yun able to do kara command grab with Shoulder.
If you cancel an EX move within the first two frames of it by another special, the first move doesn't cost meter.

In the video he is using it as a reversal and immediately canceling it. You almost don't see the ex tatsu.

Maaaan, watching ultra sf4 @ yubiken's stream atm makes me want to play it so bad.

Can't really be bothered to play AE anymore TT (dinosaur stage looks so out of place lol)

I just started playing again, Sagat offline and random ass characters online. Mostly Dudley lol I haven't had fun playing AE in so long.

How would you approach the Sagat - Bison matchup? It is my most hated matchup by far and it feels like I just can't win it. The few times that I do beat a Bison it feels like it was all luck or crap play by the Bison.

Bison just spams specials and it's very difficult for me to counter any of it, especially because it's online play. It also seems like anything he does is safe on block. The only time I feel like I'm at an advantage is when I'm very close but random scissorkicks are just so fast I don't know what to do against them. Any tips?

Without meter it should be really hard for Bison to get in on you. If he does that means you screwed up and should look for his jump ins/focus dashes more.

If they just use specials all the time such as head stomp or devil reverse then you just gotta know how to punish them. For regular headstomp it can be beaten by some normals if you do it early, I don't play Sagat but try j.fp/j.mp. EX head stomp will win almost every time in my experience so just block that.
You could also just block and do a f+lk. Then if hes in range cancel that into a special.

For scissor kicks I think only the light version is safe. For psycho crusher only EX can be made safe, but is mostly unsafe anyway.

If he does get in block. Block and only tech obvious throw attempts. Most of Bisons damage comes from you not blocking.
Once he tries to open you up you should be able to get a good read on him and land a DP into ultra.

Patience beats Bison. His damage is low, his jump is floaty, he has no overhead. Keep him out with tigershots, careful if he has meter. Once he's in, just block. Don't press buttons. tech the occasional throw attempt. If you have a read on a scissorkick you can neutral jump into full punish but Bison's are looking for that as well so don't just neutral jump randomly or you'll eat roundhouse or headstomp. jump back fierce beats headstomp btw, or just walk back -> punish.

You can block all day vs Bison, he's just a bully. Avoid the corner.

When I'm just blocking it feels like the match is going nowhere, but I guess I have to be even more patient than usual. I'll try working on the antiairs.

Apparently they are tweaking the game again even after arcade release
At Stunfest, there's a lot of changes

Dhalsim doesn't have 2 hit stMK
Guile has lower health, U1 doesn't autocorrect anymore
Makoto U2 isn't invincible on its way to the wall anymore
Ken can fadc his DP on the second hit on hit again.

that auto-correct U1 looked so unfinished lol. guess they're treating the arcade release as some sort of prolonged location test? I'm okay with that.
