Episode 1 Mike Ross (E. Honda) - 4 <Historic Distillery> Xian (Gen) - 7 Episode 2 Filipino Champ (Dhalsim) - 3 <Exciting Street Scene> Xian (Gen) - 7 Episode 3 Alioune (Cammy) <?> Xian (Gen) On January 29 2014 06:37 Torte de Lini wrote: The bots are really efficient and strict. They need to be in this case. The FGC is known for generating hype and that's why I enjoy it thoroughly, but not enough people (especially some stream monsters) have a filter where they can go un-modded. Definitely liked today's episode too. I got more hype out of Mike Ross vs. Xian, but that's definitely not to say this one stunk. Tasteless definitely not only seemed more comfortable today but also had his Protoss background shine through a bit when he called Yoga Teleport a warp. Also got quite a few StarCraft references in Twitch chat for your perusal. Check these out: "Mining minerals = building meter" "Daigo only plays Protoss" "FChamp needs to use his Queens better" "Super = minerals = blue, Ultra = Vespene = green. Coincidence?" "Good thing Champ didn't use his minerals" "Gen has so much mineral/gas, terrible macro" "Champ spent his minerals on Yoga Flame" One more thing...you think we're headed for an Akuma mirror with Infiltration and Tokido? EDIT: You guys might want to see this:

Also, the format is a little bit unclear. The player drawn first would have to play 7 matches, the one drawn last will only play 1 match and win the 25k? Tasteless and Gootecks aren't quite a team yet, sometimes talking at the same time, but that will probably improve over the next few episodes...Thanks a lot! I agree it's unclear. From what I understand, it's similar to King of the Hill-style Starcraft tournament. They go for 7 episodes, so everybody will lose once except for one guy. The players get paid for streaks: If the first guy drawn wins all 7 matches, he gets $25k, otherwise that amount is off the table. The main thing I don't understand is what happens when someone decides to quit, who takes their place? You would end up with a situation where somebody can lose twice. Edit: As for my feedback, I agree the production is corny and way too over-the-top. I love the fact that the players are on a couch watching the match and speaking frankly, and I also think Gootecks is doing a really good job explaining things for newer players. Tasteless is horrible, but I love him. I think it may be smart to have him there to bridge the gap for SC2 viewership.

So the player drawn last can never make a streak and can only win $500? Weird. Then it pays to get the worst players to perform first, since they'll never make long streaks. At first, I thought each player would try a full run eliminating the others, but that would take far too much time.

If you lose, you get a smaller amount as per shown in our infographic and a new foe is selected. Think of it as a constant wheel of opponents, this isn't a one-time show; we're doing many seasons. If Xian wins against 6 and then loses against the 7th, he gets x amount for going that far. That 7th player will play in the next season against 7 other opponents. If someone wins 3 and then loses on the 4th, that 4th player will play the remaining opponents of that season and go on to the next season to play his remaining foes (of the 7 total to get 25k). Hope that makes more sense. Seasons are purely cut for production reasons; meaning we have limited time and limited number of players at that moment and the next season, we continue right back where we were last time. All in all, everyone gets a chance at 25k and need to win against 7 opponents either within the same season or in new seasons. + Show Spoiler +

Guess colluding isnt the best option after all. But its really hard for people who just watch the show to understand the format completely, should definitely try to explain it better in the show.

The picture in picture of frodan during the countdown. Why is the interesting, fun, and engaging content in a 2x2 box on the side of the screen and the main focus is on a boring splash page timer? Why not make Frodan's segment the main focus and include a timer on that screen or in the corner etc? How on earth does it make sense for real content to be squished to the side so everyone can see a big ass boring timer? I know I sound like a mad rager, and maybe I am but it just blows my mind how decisions like these can be made, it really irritates me. These events aren't live and I've heard they're in editing for up to 3 weeks. This is amateur hour if a noob like myself can consistently see broadcasts riddled with errors or questionable decisions. I can't imagine what a professional producer would think of the shows. I guess I'm just ragey cause i hate my job and would love a sustainable income in esports and then I see people who get the chance and just fuck it all up with easy ass shit.
