Although I still can only link it from a medium, doing the motion from a light is insanely fast. Need to learn doing it consistently because linking it in a combo is a bit harder than just practicing stM / crMP / crMK into Ultra. Who won the Korean qualifier by the way ? The thing started right when I went to sleep, couldn't bring myself to stay awake.

I'm exclusively KB and I've done most of the trials in the game, including completion with Viper, Gen, Vega -- a lot of the hard-to-use tech characters. The only problems I have are with 360 characters, especially T. Hawk for some reason. I just don't play them or I'd probably have the hotkeys down pat. Being on a KB is like using a hitbox in most ways. Technically superior to sticks in some ways, inferior in others.

Some are much easier to play depending on whether you use a stick, controller, hitbox or keyboard. Some are harder to play on some devices, for example characters with mash moves like Gen, Honda... are tricky on a controller.

Finally hit up the vods and it's great to see Oni being played competitively, but like, idk there wasn't anything that mindblowing in my opinion. I did like all of his punish supers though. I rarely punish on block with super, but I'm not sure why. Should definitely keep that in mind more often.

It seemed like he just did the flashy equivalent of backdashing to bait out an uppercut (though I guess maybe you could catch people reacting to the jump; they would need to have faster reactions than I have).

Yeah it's just a reaction, not an Option Select. :p

If Yun simply blocks/backdashes or w/e it doesn't come out. Right. I was saying that the air-backdash + Ultra is always an "OS". In that, if the backdash hits, the ultra will come out, and if it doesn't Oni just coasts backward as usual. Infiltration's application of this fact to a wake-up DP is REALLY cool, especially since TK'd air dashes are a bit awkward. So even though it was a fairly well known trick (air backdash -> air Ultra 1), the application to the wake up game and the execution are still a treat to watch.
