So you probably will find weaker players at the same PP as on console. That being said, a strong player is a strong player regardless of platform and you can probably find strong players on PC if you look for them.

I don't know if I'm just in a funk lately or what but I dropped about 500 BP this weekend even though I feel like I'm playing better and better, both mentally and execution. I fooled around some with other chars which is fun for a time and I feel like it improved my mindset and footsies, but going back to my main I just started shedding BP. It wasn't because I was out of practice, when I say I dabbled with other chars it's really only a couple dozen games total and inbetween sets I'd still pick my main when I was in the mood. And I've been in training mode quite a bit too just trying stuff out and grinding out BnBs. But even though I'm happier with the way I'm playing my points is all dropping yo. Strange and frustrating. Oh well.

I meant that PP in general is fairly meaningless (not entirely, but close). Pretty much the only thing you can get from it is that if somebody is roughly 3k+ it probably means they're likely not completely awful, if theyre 4k+ they're at least a bit better than that and if they're 5k+ theyre very unlikely to be bad. Thats generally the same nomatter the platform and is about as far as you can go with it. Whether we set the bar at 2.5k or 3.5k for some level doesn't particularly matter when theres a wide range of skill levels that will endlessly swing between the two depending on how hot they're running.
The 'Same regardless of platform' I said was referring to the idea that you should hunt down good players (they exist on every platform), friend list them and play them. Fuck ranked - playing complete morons 8/10 games doesn't do a whole lot for your skill level and just wastes time. Find someone good, play them in long sets, learn matchups, woo! Failing that host/join Endless lobbys until you find someone that seems competent/challenging and play them for as long as theyll let you. Going to ranked occasionally to specifically practice getting reads+exploiting people especially quickly is definitely useful though. Almost like training 'How not to lose games to people I REALLY shouldn't lose games to', ie consistency.

I very rarely come across good players. But it's definitely a suggestion I should take. I'll have to start doing that.

In the spirit of "ranked is bad find people to play with", is the TL group for this game still active? I know I'm a part of it but I never see anyone in chat when I pop in.
If any of the regulars in this thread are around 1000PP or less, I'd love to spar sometime. In fact, I'd LOVE to play with anyone, regardless of PP. I'm happy to get my ass beat repeatedly as long as I'm trying, learning, and playing someone who isn't a random nut. I just feel those folks wouldn't want to waste their time lol.

Man, my Viper is getting better, but everytime I play against my friend who plays a great Juri, I want to kill myself. That match up is broken, everything you do can whiff if she use crMK. She's like humping the floor, even things like F.Throw dash dash jHP / JHK are whiffing, it's crazy. Even at long range, trying to play the seismo game is very risky, because she can whiff punish seismo from full screen with her divekick.
I have no idea what to do lol. How can I make her stop hitting buttons everytime I try a mix up ? She's like, not afraid at all of my options, it's very frustrating.

I just played a few matches against a Juri. Very frustrating character to play against. I like her and would play her if the whole holding-the-fireball thing didn't get me so mindfucked. But yeah she's a very difficult character to read in my opinion, and her longer-range dive kicks make me afraid to throw my shit-recovery fireballs, which lets her do whatever she wants with her own. I feel like it's definitely a character where I need to feel out the opponent and play against them and their tendencies rather than just play the match up.
