Okay, I figured it out too. It's just a basic 2-3 frame link but the timing is super awkward.

Be proud of yourself. Consoles offer much less quality for their price than a PC. I wish Capcom would show more support for this platform.

I'm looking forward to playing AE once it's up on PC. I'd like to ask what good sticks are there that can be played well on PC? I looked up online and everyone says that there's problem when using madcatz TE or cheaper sticks

Just make sure you buy a 360 stick if you choose to go Madcatz or one of the cheaper Horis. Other than that there's no problem.

I'd suggest you try to find a HRAP 3 SA or just buy a 360 TE.

a 360 TE works perfectly, also the Chun Li edition TE for PS3 can work as well on PC, its just that if you hve a 64 bit computer, the older PS3 TE's won't work, but xbox 360 te's work all around.

Oh the new PS3 TE's work on PC? I might sell my older one and use the money towards a new one then since I do like the TE-S and I'll actually have a PC stick.

You should save it until they release the SFxT sticks, those things are awesome

I talked to MarkMan once and he said the Chun-Li edition and newer TE's after that should work (I'm not sure if that includes like, the MvC3 edition TE or something. But he specifically mentioned the Chun Li edition, so yeah I'd assume its the TE-S and newer shtuff.

Yeah the SFxT sticks look really cool, not sure when they'll be on sale or how much it'll cost. I just recently bought myself the Blazblue CS TE one for relatively cheap in never-used condition and I'm really happy about it since its sorta limited edition and its a 360 stick so it works haha.

Heyhey,

I've been looking into buying a stick myself. However, the supply in Europe seems to be quite bad right now and I'm to be unable to find any of the TE "S" sticks for the 360 at a reasonable price. If anyone could point me to a shop or tell me when the next shipment of sticks is supposed to go out I'd be extremely grateful.

Trading Outlet on Shoryuken.com (the teamliquid of fighting games) may sell some, b ut often times its just americans that'll only ship to other americans. Other options are looking on ebay or finding a non-madcatz stick online like on akihabarashop.jp or others :x I don't know much about the online stores for EU.

Markman has said a couple times that they're low on stock of 360 sticks which is why their coupon codes are only for PS3's the past few months, I'd just wait it out for a little bit in madcatz's store (i THINK they ship to EU, someone else can confirm this or not).

Good luck D: hope that helped a bit.

Its cheap because it is an SE, with faux-Sanwa parts. If you buy a Sanwa JLF and 6 or 8 new Sanwa buttons (which'll cost you maybe...35-40 dollars more) and replace the parts then yes, you will have a TE-esque stick, in an SE's box.

PS: Is Sakura the Best, Worst character, or the Worst....Best character? :O

WWE Brawl stick is cheaper since I think it uses similar (the same?) parts as the original SF4 SE edition stick. i.e. the TE stick uses real Sanwa buttons and joystick, unlike the WWE and SE sticks.

The brawl stick has the "re-engineered" fake Sanwas that were on the TvC sticks. Those parts are actually pretty good and way better than the original SEs. I'd buy that stick just for the lulz though.

Yeah the fake Sanwa parts aren't terrible, especially for someone who just plans on dabbling in the game and having some fun, playing on pad, or even on your keyboard (for PC edition) is fine. If you want to enjoy the experience of playing on real arcade parts though, you can just mod your own stick for 35-40 bucks later on (can even make it all fancy colored and stuff for your liking)

Oh. I have an original SE and the stock parts were terrible; granted, I bought the thing with the intention of immediately swapping the parts so I wasn't expecting anything out of them. I guess improving those wasn't exactly a difficult feat.

edit: personally I think keyboard is easier than pad. I don't see how the pad warriors do it.

I was playing my friend on keyboard and inputs are so stupid fast with arrow keys, and like, using 10 button macros lol. DP is fast as hell becase you just hit like, Right (or left), Down, right(ditto), or doing QCF by just plinking down and right(or left). Or half circle motions just plinking from left to right or vice versa. And obviously dashing is way faster tapping a button twice as opposed to jamming the stick left or right non stop and having it return to neutral in between. Then I have like

QW
ASDF
ZXCV

for Throw, FA
LP, MP, HP, 3xP
LK, MK, HK, 3xK

It's almost like cheating, but doesn't feel genuine so I'm trying to get better on stick.

Also, I don't get why the fake SE parts are so bad lol, I mean is it THAT difficult to just make plungers and rims that can create that feel?
