If people were pulling off desk combos left and right then you can be sure there'd be a lot more being said but right now Yun is good but he isn't THAT good. It's simply a good character in a good player's hand that will make the cries for Yun imba ring loud this late July. | ||

Just because a super has the potential to do that much doesn't mean it ever will. The only way to do 600 damage is to land a raw fp shoulder while your opponent in the corner. I don't know anyone that's competent at the game that will eat that no matter how mind fucked they are. This combo also takes 5x the execution of a standard genei jin which deals 550 damage in the corner anyway. You also lose one of the strongest parts of genei jin which is the 50/50 at the end. If you modify the kara palm combo to add the 50/50 you get like 30 more damage. We get it, Yun's a strong character. Shut the fuck up and deal with it. Learn the match up or play them yourself it's not that hard. To land a perfect kara palm with the right timing and spacing every time takes skill. I thought I'd be able to deal with all this whining but I was wrong. Just going to tack this on. If Yun is so op I'd like to see you use him and wreck. Every time someone complains at my session that Yun is fucking op and easy mode I challenge them to body me with their Yun while I'm using someone else and no one's actually beat me yet. I am no where near the top in my play group and better players who haven't put any time in can't beat me with that fucking ez mode character. What does that tell you? | ||

Second of all, try pulling it off. Then talk Third. 500 damage super? No, not many characters have it, Fei Long has like 400 damage thats one of the higher damage supers I believe. Fourth, how is it balanced? Look at #2. Desk has done combos that are like 750+ damage before with evil ryu and shit, you'll never see anyone pull them off in a game. | ||

i just find it funny how back then when vanilla came out, there was like only 1 or 2 occasions of somebody here crying/complaining so fervently about vanilla sagat, but now its like once in every 3 posts towards yun. just sayin | ||

Akuma had a good matchup against him, so did Guile and Sim, Ryu wasn't too bad either, and neither was Viper. I feel like the opposite is the case with Fei and the twins where so few characters have decent matchups against them that it's a matter of percentages. In any given forum there are going to be people who play a variety of characters, and most of them are going to have bad matchups against Fei/Yang/Yun, so the problem is more pronounced and relatable now. | ||
