however, a lot of characters that gave her the business were changed. Makoto got nerfed into the ground. The twins are gone. Fei's rekkas are unsafe to the point where I'm pretty sure that matchup is strongly in Sakura's favor. The King of Muay Thai is real strong now, maybe the best character in the game (and rightfully so!), but Sakura handles him just fine. Viper's changes make it so she needs 2 bars instead of 1 to use a non-throwable safe reversal. Another interesting note is that Cody is really really strong now. He's a lot like Sakura, high-damage pressure based character with poor wake-up options. His frame trap game seems more robust than Sakura's. Locally Street Fighter had a darker period, with our weekly casuals session taken over by UMvC3 and the shiny new KOF. With 2012 out, SF is coming back to Edmonton. In the period when my buddies are all wrapped up in other games, I've been playing as much as I can with Jozhear and my pal Gordon (VesperArcade). My ultimate rival, another white guy named Steve, has been putting the work in as well, and his new beau Oni got some love in 2012. It's really keeping me interested and eager to improve.
