The only thing I disagree with is the gif and the idea you have that Yun and Yang takes execution.
If there are thousands of players not doing well despite their amazing toolset then to me it means that nobody is executing the twins correctly which means they take execution to properly use.

Any ways, AE is still very young so no real tier list can be established just yet. I am pretty sad however that it is a common thought that Ryu is considered to be very bad and most comp. Ryu players have switched.
I also want to mention that Yun and Yang are fairly easy to play, but you actually need to know what you're doing with Fei Long.
Because Phoenix doesn't require team composition to be as useful as she is by herself. Wolverine needs an assist and button execution depending on spacing and where you are relative to the opponent. Phoenix requires sjb, throw tracking fireballs so taht nobody can actually touch you with a melee attack, then teleport mixup since teleporting is 50/50 ground/air meaning a high low mixup occurs instantly. Wolverine isn't rewarded by the fact he loses both of his absolutely irrelevant team.
i saw daigo playing yun and i was a little sad inside. i think that yun/yang is fine right now and they'll get solved eventually. or at least people will learn the matchup better. i dislike people picking the twins personally. even though it's more exciting seeing a rushdown based character i still would rather see more diversity.
speaking of rushdown characters, my god watching seth is so fun. i could watch seth for days and never get sick of his mixups and all his tools.
what a great matchup to watch
also learning ssf4 is so hard online. it seems that i never get someone my skill level. everyone who plays is already really fucking good. it's quite discouraging and even though i want to play ssf4 (don't have ae) i go back to marvel because i can manage to win some games haha.

Yeah, this is what worries me about online play. I'm probably one of the few people playing SF4 who has never seriously touched a fighting game in his life. I've heard people say this game is noob-friendly, but that doesn't mean anything if online players consistently kick your ass all the time. Although this is actually speculation on my part (I don't play online, too afraid to and my execution still blows after having the game for a month), I have a feeling it's still true.

no you're confusing execution with character knowledge/experience. execution is the players ability to land the harder hitting/difficult combos (keeping up mvc2 mags roms) or perform certain pressure strings/sequences (repeatable siesmo chains/ tk feints). execution is different than being able to effectively utilize and maximize a characters potential. why is it u hear ppl praising good viper/gen players for their "execution" but u don't hear the same thing for balrog/shotos who do equally as well.
and wolverine is stupid. he only needs 1 meter and/or xfactor. beserker slash is just retarded. how hard is it to qcb+atk O_o
I know this is the AE thread, but I must say, Phoenix is nowhere near broken. I still apply the same "get better and body" them vs. Phoenix, But I guess that's something I should elaborate on the MvC3 thread.
But a quick summary of my thoughts is that a phoenix player still gives up a reasonable amount of options (and give you a reasonable amount of options as well) just to get Dark Phoenix out. the better you learn to capitalize on it, You'll see, its not so bad

Online can be pretty rough, not only because of other players being good but because of the slight lag even with the best connections. Before I ever played online I played a lot of challenges and training mode, and went through Arcade mode on hardest a few times, and I was able to run over a lot of players until I hit the 3000pp mark.
Good shit from both Arturo and Mike Ross though. I honestly did not expect Art to make it past like, top 16 because of all the nerfs and the fact that he really wasn't playing all that good for what, the last 4 months now?
Imo SSF4's field of competition wasn't as great as Revelation.
rose nerfs weren't that severe, she's still largely the same character and the way arturo controls space with her really makes the difference. there aren't many rose players like arturo sanchez
i'm actually still catching up on this weekend of tournaments, had to work all three days watching reveLAtions top8 right now, did art use rose or sim in CEO?

He used both of them against Tokido in both grand and winner's final.

and I BELIEVE IN MIKE ROSS
Who doesn't believe in Mike Ross? He's the president, final boss, my baby daddy....err my role model.
Rose's biggest change is the 1 frame startup for U2 now, which just means its not a free move all the time. Gotta activate as like, anti air or activate and then get in there. Art played well, but Mike played really well, but just watching how his games went against the twin players I felt like it was a lack of 100% familiarity with the twins yet that caused them to not take advantage of punish situations that they would otherwise know with their super mains.
Character loyalty helped Mike this time but we'll see how that helps him when Wong and Marn have 6 more weeks.
Question if anyone knows, I'm not sure where to ask this, but does anyone know what version Super Street fighter 4 3D (for the 3ds) is? Like is it SSF4 or is it the arcade edition? I'm guessing it's just SSF4, but also where do I find the patch notes from version to version?
