The ONLY complaint I have with this game is that it seemed easier than portal 1. A lot of the rooms, even later on, felt pretty simple. Only a select few actually got me stuck for 15ish min. Having said that, the story + characters + fun factor are as good as any game to date imo. Stephen merchant made this game as far as i'm concerned.

In the few 3d games I have picked up the latest year, Fallout New Vegas, Dead space and Portal 2, the mouse behaves so uncomfortable. Back in the days when you started a game, let us say Quake 1, the mouse moved smoothly and felt perfectly, but now every new game I play feels so terrible. First I thought it was because it was ported from Xbox or something, but I even notice this is Portal 2. The mouse just feels terrible, and even when trying to adjust settings it just does not feel right. Why is this? Did newer games incorporate something that just mess up mouse movement, and is there a fix? Anyone experience this, and what could be the setting I look for? I was worried this would happen in Star2 aswell, but it did not, as it only seem to happen in new 3d games. The vertical and horizontal movement also does not seem to sync. I just can't enjoy Portal 2 having so bad control over the movement, the acceleration feels weird, and just about everything. Did you disable vsync? Vsync ruins your mouse in source games

So i guess the Portal story arc is finished? I mean,Chell is already released out of the facility, and apparently,it took place hundreds of years after Portal 1,lol.I wonder what will she do after that, though

+ Show Spoiler + I have read all the Cave/Caroline being Chell's parents speculation. However has there been any good info in relation to what exactly caused the schism in the Caroline AI that created the Glados personality(the psychotic killer)? It is believed that Glados is Caroline's personality in AI form per the Cave Johnson request, however it is also clear that the Caroline portion of said AI is the moral conscious. So is there any strong info on what would of sprouted the killer personality traits unique to Glados? Is it just is defect of their first attempt to merge human conscious into a synthetic form or something more specific? I remember there being paintings on the walls in an early stage of the game when you first get the portal gun, including one of the day Glados comes online and releases the neuro-toxin, and another showing a woman surrounded by scientists in a state of rage. Is there any evidence of Caroline cracking during or before the creation of Glados?

Can't wait for HL Ep3. 100%, total nerd chills. And all I could think of at the end was to analyze the earth and moon and outside just for some details about HL2:EP3 or just the world 200 years after it. At least Idaho seems to be in tact.

There was Thief. And somehow Thief 2 managed to almost live up to it. Then there was Portal. And only Valve can manage to make a game that almost lives up to it. As if it was even required, the sheer genius of Portal 2 has gotten me re-hyped for EP:3. Cleverly characterized sarcastic rogue AIs and chicks in janitor jumpsuits with portal-gun-protecting foot-armor have delivered glory - time for glassed nerds with crowbars! Not that I would complain about more clever physics puzzles/challenges spiced with solid pacing, unique storytelling and intelligent humor that I will never be able to fully understand, but Valve seem to take their time to make their games. Fortunately the quality seems to scale with the development time - and if so then EP:3 will top all previous games!

I don't think tenacity alone would help much against headcrabs. Unrelated, I really wish Valve would tell us just how long it was between Portal 1 and 2... "hundreds of years" does not seem to fit at all with the state of the facility in Portal 2. + Show Spoiler + Portal 1 happened somewhere between 2000 and 2029... and unless Aperture made some discoveries in the field, I can't see the paint in the facility, let alone the painting and wood in Chell's relaxation chamber lasting decades, let alone centuries, even in a controlled environment, especially without a caretaker.

At the very least it won't be connected to the Half Life 2 plot anymore, so we probably won't hear back from Chell for the next couple of games (since she would be a major spoiler as to what happened in the Half Life 2 world). Back when Portal 2 was announced, they said something along the lines of wanting to split the two franchises apart as much as possible (of course with a few hints here and there, like the easter egg Borealis bay in Portal 2), since they want to establish Portal as it's own thing, like Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress etc.
