I highly doubt that. JA is incredibly fun, that is correct, but i think Chivalry has way better sword (and other melee) mechanics.

Just beat Transistor...I think SuperGiant Games is buy-on-release for the foreseeable future.

Quick questions about the Star Wars bundle on Humble Bundle.
About KotOR, does it run on win7? Because I remember trying to play that game on my laptop with vista and the game kept crashing/giving me bluescreens. Was pretty unplayable and never been able to figure out how to make it work correctly.
About Jedi Academy, does the multiplayer still work? Because I know that battlefront 2 was using gamespy and it doesn't work anymore and I also wonder if there's any way to play the game online without too much hassle.

KOTOR works fine with the Steam version, no idea on JA multiplayer.

Jedi Academy MP still works as far as I know.

Hmm, you're right, maybe, I don't know Chivalry that much but what I've seen seems like fun. I'll just say that a lot of what happens in a JA lightsaber duel is not really "by design". Lots of tricks, mind games and glitches to abuse and all that.

Transistor is pretty bad and only Idiots buy blind, just because of a Company.

He said he played all the way through Transistor and liked it, and I would assume probably Bastion as well which was universally acclaimed, so it's understandable to put that company's future titles on a short list to watch for. A lot of posters said the same thing for Blizzard games after BW and D2 and when SC2 and D3 came out they felt like they got burned (a sentiment that pervades these forums). Beyond Earth, Dragon Age 2, Call of Duty: World at War, Final Fantasy XII, Street Fighter X Tekken, there are many games that the gaming community would consider "missteps" or inferior to predecessors for various reasons. I don't think any reasonable person will just buy a company's newest game sight unseen, and I don't think that's what WolfintheSheep was implying anyway, correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, I meant I'd buy their games at full price at release, not pre-order and pray that it lives up to expectations.
My list of games or studios that I can't wait several months for is generally quite small.

I don't think we have to preface our sentences with "imo" every time. Since nothing we say or think is actually disconnected from ourselves, it's fair to say that everything is an opinion. But yeah, buying pre-release is bad when you know what kind of shit can happen in game development, even for a game that looks like it's going to be great. Buying by studio is also not the best idea when the team who worked on a specific game may be different.

Some decent sales on Steam right now, Sqaure Enix games once again, Divinity 40% off as well, too bad Steam is taking a shit right now.

Daikatana on sale in that pack, definitely pick that up.
(That was a joke don't do it it's not worth it John Romero will make you his bitch never buy that godawful game)

yeah, problems with connecting to steam and now when I finally got in it won't let me buy Thief
good sale though, I can recommend Tomb Raider (don't buy the DLCs or GOTY, just the main game has everything you'd need). Just Cause 2 is a few hours of silly open-world fun And Deux Ex: Human Revolution is one of my favorite games of all time. The Deus Ex games describe a really interesting world with engaging conflicts and they really shine with the amount of options you have to accomplish missions. It has a lot of replay value for that reason as well.
oh and Hitman:Absolution and Hitman: Blood Money of course, but just about everybody played those games already

Id also say if anyone hasn't played Sleeping Dogs, its a fantastic open world game, with a great story/voice acting, check it out, cause its really great IMO.

For those of you who might be interested, there's a small giveaway on MMORPG.com for Grimoire : Manastorm. Still in Early Access, the game look kinda fun, a multiplayer FPS/3rd person where you play a wizard and you unleash spells to defeat enemies. Still 58 key left as I post this.

tomb raider looks interesting. why not buy the GOTY or DLCs? they are so cheap.

Most of the DLC is for Multiplayer, or is just skins for the character, and since no one even plays the Multiplayer, its totally not worth it. Frankly, the standalone game is the perfect length, where you can beat the vanilla game, and feel like you've had enough of it since there's already plenty to do anyways.

That pack is nuts! I kept scrolling down thinking oh this is nice enough for $31.. yet still more games. I would probably consider buying it if I didn't already have a massive backlog of unplayed games already.
