So, anyone here checked out Life is Strange? Genuinely interested in it, mostly because I'm hoping its a strong point-and-click style adventure game.
On the other hand, it's made by DONTNOT, and I was interested in Remember Me, which turned out to be a game with a lot of ambition and promises, and ended up being a generic platformer with a forced combat system and a flat story with even flatter characters, so...

im buying Life is Strange, but will wait untill all the chapters are released, im not too fond of playing one chapter per month or 2
(not to mention im pretty sure we will see a hefty disscount by that time)

The game gave off a bit of the Longest Journey vibe, though it's probably just from it being an adventure game with a believable female lead. I'll be buying it for sure, but yeah, I'll wait until all chapters are out.

Yeah, I'm probably going to wait for the whole thing to come out as well.
Just interested in hearing some early impressions of it. Again, looks interesting, but the last game from that studio was all promises with really bad execution.

From what I've seen of Life is Strange, it looks a bit more like Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls than a traditional point-and-click adventure game. I'd suggest watching the last ten or so minutes of Giant Bomb's Quick Look to see what some of the gameplay is like(the first ~30 minutes is basically dialogue and tutorial about the time travel/control).

Ya, i havent played Kotor and Jedi Academy in so many years, and since ive got nothing to play right now, seems like the perfect time to dive back in.

Its a really cool charity too. they did whats a raffle I think to get a VIP trip to the set of the new star wars movie and to be an extra in a scene.
Really solid bundle though.

Speaking of which, I haven't played any other games in the bundle. What should I try? I will certainly give the upcoming Battlefront a chance because DICE is behind it (I've had the chance to listening to talks to some DICE employees, they seem really cool)

Hmm, the idea of replaying KOTOR I and II this time with mods is tempting

Empire at War was pretty bad ass if it was a bit dated even when it released.
If you enjoy star wars games: Force Unleasheds aren't bad but aren't amazing Jedi Knight Jedi Academy is really awesome if you haven't played JK2:Jedi Outcast because they really butchered the system since. Has okay MP scene but expect most servers to have turned off most force powers except jump. Republic Commando is dated but awesome experience where you play as a clone trooper but its more FPS then TPS(Battlefront TPS). Battlefront II probably best game on here, TPS shooter when you sometimes get to be jedi. Kotors I/II if you can get past the point click combat.

are there compatibility issues with any of these games using win7?

Empire at War (a quick test only though) worked for me on Win 8.1 so I think it should work on 7 as well. The only issue is that the game becomes semi-unresponsive the first time you set it to full screen, but that might have to do with me using a 2560x1440 monitor

Getting kotor to run @ 1080p is kind of a bitch, need to download a 3rd party program so it can go Widescreen, haven't tried the others tho.

KOTOR also has some issues with minimizing and cutscenes crashing the game, but they only occur playing on fullscreen, IIRC.

There was some Star Wars vs Star Trek vs Battlestar Galactica vs Stargate vs Babylon 5 vs Halo mod for Empire at War that I followed way back. Dunno if it's still active.

Star Wars Jedi Academy is probably the best multiplayer sword fighting game there is.
