Even if you're not playing it for the story, the combat is really fun and challenging. I can't think of the last time a game has made me really think that much with combat.

Considering that one of the best games coming out next year will be witcher 3, you should definitely get it while you can.

I know they moved the original maps over to L4D2...... but it is still a very different game (alt tank AI, no spitters/chargers, different weapons etc.) and in my opinion definitely still worth playing for the $5 it'll cost you. Bought L4D on sale. Got 2/4 campaigns on Expert with 3 dumb ai's and I already want to bang my head against the wall. They're so worthless on the finale, it's hard enough to get them to follow you and have everybody stand their ground in a closet or corner or something. If I had human allies this would be a breeze. Too bad nobody plays this anymore ![]() Edit: Ok I take it back. AI is GODLIKE vs humans in the fact that you are pretty much immune to friendly fire. Plus they save you from special infected instantly most of the time and give me all the first aids . It helps in the first few levels if you get them to tank a horde and just speedrun the level. For finale find a room to bunker down and we're pretty much untouchable.

Witcher is maybe one of the few major releases which is a quality product.

They patch so many times though that at the end it is good regardless of how it was at release. Release hasn't been bad but they improve over time. Those games often end up best in the end, you have a lot of play testers. ![]()

I dont mind spending 10$, or even 20$ to upgrade to the Sin edition (or whatever its called), i just dont want to have to pay another 50$ for it. Patrick Klepek from Giant Bomb confirmed with Bandai Namco that PC players will have to re-buy to get the visual upgrade. No word on pricing yet. Source Hopefully it'll just be some small price and not re-buy at full price.. but I wouldn't put it past them.

I don't really mind it if the enemy numbers are low, and your own squad is kept to a smaller number, but then I've tried to play games like Ogre Battle or Front Mission where the entire combat is like moving ten units tiny steps at a time, and then sitting through a minute of animations as every single enemy unit does their thing. So where does Shadowrun fall on the scale of gameplay? honestly i didnt really like it the combat wasnt that challenging and had a lot of rng stuff in it i never played dragonfall though, just 2/3 of the way through the original campaign

So where does Shadowrun fall on the scale of gameplay? It's alright. Mainly, the idea is that it's a CRPG with a lot of modding support. Even after you finish the included campaign, you can play other people's custom-made campaigns. Me, I decided to import my character from my old game. Dragonfall isn't a campaign that allows importation of characters? Well it can be as long as you mod the campaign's file to allow it. Which I did. Your squad is limited to a crew of 4 members per mission, including yourself. The enemy numbers are also kept at a rather decent level of strength and numbers. Until the end, anyway. Near the end of the game it gets a bit intense. Even my imported character had a bit of trouble. He never got close to dying, but my other characters got close. Everything up to that, though, was scaled pretty well.

I haven't been following this "visual upgrade" news at all, but how does it compare to, say, GeDoSaTo filters and rendering?
