That being said, if you know Solgryn and Boshy, you know it's probably not a game for everyone. It's a very difficult platformer, but there isn't really thing I'd say is unfair though. Its difficulty and platforming seems tuned just right imo. Check it out and support Solgryn if you're interested! Is the giant spider or anything similar in the game? I hate trial and error and cheap death. No, it's not a trolly game like Boshy. It's an honest tribute to retro platformers/metrovania. Solgryn's been working on this for 2+ years. It's his first commercial baby, and it's good.

Q: I have a number of games that have controller support, but only Xbox controller (???) like Bastion, Guacamelee, Dust, Risk of Rain, etc just to name a few. I have a Logitech Dual Action controller (should be something like this but 6 years old) but the games didn't detect it. My friend has X360 controller and he can use it for those games just fine. So I am thinking about buying an Xbox controller. Is there any difference in term of system and game support between X360 and XbOne controller? Like whether XbOne is too new for old game to support or anything, because XbOne is only $10 more, but I would not want to buy another controller that can't be used. Thanks lot edit: I myself don't own an Xbox, so for matter of preference may be XbOne because it's newer I guess. Not sure which one I should buy actually I have pretty much exactly that gamepad (Logitech F310) (I even think it is roughly as old, i think i bought it for the first Batman Arkham game, so ~4 years ago), and have so far not have had a problem with any game not detecting it. From your list, i have played Dust, Risk of Rain and Guacamelee with it, without any problems or additional programs at all, pretty much plug and play.
afaik mine was released even longer before, so by 6 years ago it was already not so new gamepad. Anyway the new F310 already support XInput iirc, so it can play those game. Mine doesn't though

Only game i bought so far is Defy gravity for 9 cents because it will drop cards and will get my money back and turn a few cents of profit lol.
I have 40++ games that havent been touched so its pointless to just buy stuff atm.

Was wondering if there are any strong opinions either way about Endless Legends / Dungeons of the Endless / Shadowrun / Burnout Paradise

Don't know which of the Shadowruns you mean, I've played Returns and it is a short atmospheric turn based RPG. Pretty good. Heard Dragonfall is supposed to be even better.

Burnout paradise is worth buying.

Dragonfall is longer, better, and much more difficult.

Too many people had the same plan and the cards halved in price ^_^

It's the best deal in the world
I'd buy it except I bought it the last time it was at €3.

Didn't play it but a friend of mine told me that Shadowrun Returns is pretty shallow.

burnout paradise is one of those over the top streetracers.
If you like those streetracers where you dont know if you have to take a hard curve or somethijng in the next 3 seconds then i guess its a solid one.
If you like normal racing games where you have proper tracks that your memorize and try to drive in an optimal line, then you will hate it, probably.
Endless legends is from the people who made endless space, who have proven to me that they are incapable of making any semplance of an artificial intelligence, maybe they changed or maybe the game still relies on a shamelessly cheating "AI", i dont know. At least try to read up on that.
Witcher 2 as free and 1€ also some time ago, but i would argue it doesnt matter if its 3 or 1 or 0, they basically give away a really good game.

Depends what you're looking for. The RPG elements of the game are much simplified in favor of a heavy focus on strategic combat. It manages to fall about halfway between Wasteland 2 (more RPG elements) and XCOM (less).

Is Dark Souls 2 like the only game not on sale? lol like wtf, many of my friends are waiting for the thing to go on sale, and its still FULL PRICE right now. Im not sure I understand why, so many games right now are on sale that were just released a month ago, yet, DS2 released like 6 months ago wont even drop to 25% or something.

You guys should just wait for the DX11 version of Dark Souls 2 in a couple months. Unless you want to really play it now.

Do we know yet if DX11 version will be a paid upgrade? I dont mind spending 10$, or even 20$ to upgrade to the Sin edition (or whatever its called), i just dont want to have to pay another 50$ for it.

Thats a tough choice right there lol. Ive spent about 10hrs on both (yes i know that literally NOTHING), and frankly Divinity seemed to have far more depth in terms of story, and mechanics as well, to the point of being incredibly overwhelming. I think Wasteland 2 for me was a better fit, less reading overall, mechanics are simpler and easier to pick up and play. Also, im pretty sure Divinity is a lengthier game as well, from ive read its about 60 hrs story, while Wasteland 2 clocks in around 40-50. Divinity did feel more polished tho, I think its probably the superior game, but if your not into A LOT of reading, be weary, Wasteland 2 for me had just the right amount, Divinity was like "holy fuck everyone in this game has several pages of backstory alone".
TL DR: Probably Divinity lol.
