The game is very long actually... But I got bored after a while. :/

The game is lengthy since there are many side quest. The story is alright, nothing too special. What makes the game so fun is the sheer size of the landscape. You will be exploring many areas, trying to find hidden areas, and general exploring is satisfying.
The antagonist is actually pretty awesome. Something about a guy that is pretty much insane just seems very entertaining. You find yourself sort of enjoying his rants and dialogue. I must say thought the voice acting is pretty much spot on. They did a brilliant job with the visuals of the character and the voicing that goes with it.
If your Pc can handle it, the game on max settings is superb. In terms of scenery, it is one of the most beautiful games I have played. There are times during the day or night where I would look off into the distance and enjoy the view. The replayability, that I am unsure of. Only played it once and there is still many items and secrets I have yet to find.
The issue I have is well, the need to purchase weapons is essentially nonexistent. When you capture certain points, you get various guns for free. You actually own them and you change your setup when you go out. There is customization of the weapons that cost you money which is where you will spend a good portion of it (purchasing maps, skins, addons, etc.).
In conclusion, I think the game is worth the $24 in terms of the open worldness, exploration, and sheer beauty of it. Multiplayer feels awkward and not the main point. If you like exploring and running around open areas, you will love it. I do not consider the game a "must buy" for summer sale like with other games such as Bastion, but I recommend it. Hope that helps with your decision.

Thank you! Looking at it I thought the exploration part of it would be the most enjoyable part of the game for me, so having you say good things about that makes me want it even more. I'll definitely have to pick it up. Also, damn you for convincing me to spend even more money! >.<
I've never really been a first person single player guy; I tend to lose interest if it's not competitive. However, I think I finished Farcry 3 in like two days. By FAR the most entertaining single player I have played since Sleeping Dogs. Just had a straight up blast with it, can't recommend it enough.

Don't do it--too many things have gone wrong with the game and their response to the customers. Upon realization that people were being sold an incomplete video game and wanted refunds, the company from the game decided to attack the customers instead of work with them. So there were occasions where people were given said that if they get a refund, they may not be eligible service in the future (in other words, if you try to get a refund, you may be denied purchases in the future).
ONCE YOU AGREE TO THIS TERMS OF SERVICE AND THE END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR THE GAME (THE "EULA") AND SERVICE FOR THE GAME COMMENCES, YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND FOR ANY AMOUNTS OR OTHER CONSIDERATION PAID BY YOU FOR THE USE (OR FUTURE USE) OF THE GAME CLIENT OR THE SERVICE.
There were many unjust bans that went on as well. On top of that, the promo picture used was plagiarized from the Walking Dead (zombies from the Walking Dead were copied into the picture).
Speaking of EULA's let not forget that they copied another game's EULA and played it off like it was their own.

Lost Eternia Shards for sure, it adds a bunch of levels and unlocks Nightmare difficulty then Series EV hero, Summoner and Barbarian are pretty cool playable characters. Jester is hit and miss, he just pops down gifts that turn into random traps from any hero.
Buying those would round out to $5 ish and the collection is $2 more but this select DLC is the stuff that brings the most content the rest is mostly cosmetic stuff and weird maps
One last thing, this a great co op game not so much in single player As a single player game it's serviceable but not nearly as fun since there is great synergy with the classes, 1 hero has auras, 1 has traps, another one walls, the other towers, Summoner has units that you can posses and move around rts style, Barbarian just wrecks things and EV is a weird hybrid with walls and laser walls. and it's kinda grindy

thanks for the writeup! I just saw that Lost Eternia are actually 4 DLCs (part1 - part4) and all together cost €2.36. Hmmmm... Tough choice as I want to buy Magicka and Torchlight too

There is also the EULA where it says;

Yeah, I read that their EULA had a clause in there about Riot points. Anyway, decided to look into this game and holy smokes, WarZ sounds like the product of greed and laziness. I'm kind of used to greedy devs, but it sounds like the lead of WarZ really embodies this worst of these qualities. Steam actually pulled the game because it was so far off from what it advertised to be. The Hammerpoint dev, Sergey Titov blamed customers for 'misreading' the description, which is... ridiculous, when the game clearly doesn't have the things it claims to have. Long story short, my reasons for not supporting Infestation extends beyond the game being bad. It has a lot to do with the company behind it too.

You're missing Dark Souls: Prepare to Die.
I think I found out the true way to play this game. After dieing a million times in Sen's Fortress to all those @%$&§ing things invading people to fuck up their run through it is THE BEST THING EVER.
Muahahahaha.
In this spirit, just because it's fun and prolly the most spoiler free thing I found:

Im taking it to a different level, I only have 4 kings left, then I will have my first ever SL1 Darkwraith ^^
I'm generally not a griefer, but in a game like Dark Souls where you've been subjected to it so much, it will feel good to show up in undead burg and oneshot people for a little while

Don't be afraid to take a look at games that just on sale the entire sale as well. Thomas Was Alone is on sale until the 22nd for 2.50, I would highly recommend at that price if you enjoy a good (great imo) story with relatively relaxing platforming. I also picked up Puzzle Quest 2 for 2.50, nice match 3 game with some RPG elements that you can play while watching streams.
for proof), so you should pick that up as well regardless of the price. Would also recommend Amnesia, especially if it wins the next community choice. Deus Ex is a steal for $3 from yesterday's deals, and like Tobberoth said, Dark Souls is missing, but I'm one that would recommend you get a controller to play it if you don't have one.

Start DS, turn off AntiAliasing. Quit DS, download dsfix and install. Unlock FPS, skip intros, lock/hide mouse. Use 360 controller. Play through the game with the expectation that the game will tell you nothing, but hint at everything. Don't expect the game to tell you you're going the wrong way, measure the opposition and look for indications that the area might be for later. Expect traps, but expect hints.
This is basically all you need to enjoy this game MASSIVELY if you don't mind being challenged. If people tell you that you need a guide or that the game is filled with artificial difficulty, ignore them.

the game is basically trial and error. once you memorize where the threats come from then the difficulty goes way down, but fun game none the less.

Thanks for the hint, I will do as you described. Also I think I will connect my PC to my TV to play this game.
