I also picked up Puzzle Quest 2 for 2.50, nice match 3 game with some RPG elements that you can play while watching streams.
Was both in Humble Bundles - so everyone should have that already.

The only real trial and error parts of the game if you're attentive is capra demon (too little time to react once you enter boss room) and bed of chaos (impossible to tell what it will do until you've seen it happen). Not to say that you won't die a lot and learn from it, but it's ridiculously rare to die and go "There's no way I could have foreseen that".

Havent bought a new game in days. Still with my current list of :
Bastion L4D bundle Portal bundle Witcher 1 and 2 Deus ex
So far tried Bastion and Deus ex. It was a steal getting both games for under 4 euros.
Think im done with buying and theese games together with Dota and Csgo should last me for at least one year.

I just bought 3 copies of Secret of the Magic Crystals. I'm beginning to think I may have a problem.

Good man! And with Rome 2 right around the corner it is a great time for Total War fans
So far I have bought:
Dark Souls PTD FTL for a friend Dishonoured Mark of the Ninja Counter Strike complete pack Deadlight Far Cry III The Witcher 2 Endless Space (well friend gave it to me for birthday) Galactic Civilisations 2
I'm really pleased with this selection, holy shit a lot of games to play with so little time haha!!! Every game cost me under £5 except Far Cry 3 which I'm hoping will be as good as people say and its Metacritic score says. I don't usually trust Metacritic that much though so fingers crossed...

Far Cry 3 is totally ace dude. I would say its one of my favorite ever FPSs. Its got everything that was good about Farcry 1/2 without any of the bad bits. Fast travel, good storyline (for a while anyway), shock value and most importantly open ended, fun planning/shooting gameplay.
PS i am SO excited for Rome 2. Rome is my favorite TW game still, and after buying napoleon in the sale i now own them all. The roman time period just fits perfectly with the gameplay IMHO.

Also I think I will connect my PC to my TV to play this game.
You also got additional content in the PTD version. There is NO WAY that you will find it on your own, it is crazy hidden. It is also pretty hard. Should you reach the final boss without getting grabbed through a portal by a giant tentacle thingy, look it up online.
Being alive is not useful in any way, it is basically saying "please invade me". So if you don't want twinked out guys killing you especially in the early zones, just be dead.
You might want to look up the locations of some bonfires (blighttown/sens fortress) and/or a recommended area progression depending on how much annoyance you are willing to deal with.

I bought DE:HR, I won't take IW, should I buy DE1? I heard it is great and a continuation of HR, but the graphics are really putting me off.
Was the new tomb raider on sale for more the -50%? It's still quite expensive.
Any recommendation?

Don't buy DE1. When it came out it was one of the greatest games of all time, but the graphics, and especially the AI, are pretty horrible and you would probably not play it past the first couple of stages... Most people who replay it now do it out of nostalgia. The story is awesome though.

Buy DE1. Time has taken a toll on it, but it's still an amazing game.

Thanks, I took every DLC for HR instead

It isn't really that expensive, though. You could buy it, maybe install a few graphics mods, and see if you can deal with the datedness of some things.
But it is true that it did not age that well, games that try to look realistic generally don't. From my experience (i just played through System Shock 2 for the first time, and it both looks and feels old), games which were really good in 99 or so are still playable, but you have to be willing to deal with some things that are very dated nowadays, both in the graphics department, and in some other things like general gameflow. I remember that Deus Ex was amazingly good when i played it back then, but it is probably only ok-ish nowadays. Still, if 3$ isn't that much to you, just skip one burger or cup of coffee and try it, what is the worst that can happen?

No 3$ isn't much, I am mainly interested in story, because I want to know how HR transitions into DE1, although the world concept seems a bit too far into the future with all those nanoaugmentations (that's what I read tehy sue in DE1)

Its the AI that kills the game for me. Its one area where games have really progressed since those days. I guess it depends on how many old games you tend to play. If you play alot of older games you could do alot worse than this one, but when you are used to more modern AI it just plays really horribly.

To be honest, it has been at least 10 years since i played Deus Ex, so i can not really say a lot about the AI here. I remember thinking that the story was awesome, but beyond that it is pretty blurry after this time. The general concept isn't that far off from HR, Nanoaugs are still very much experimental, and you got all those old augmented guys running around who hate you because you got cooler toys and don't look like a freak. The world as a whole is not a lot more future-y then HR, if i recall correctly something went very wrong in between the two games and a lot of stuff is in ruins.

So for The Witcher: Enhanced Edition I got the "don't meet minimum requirements" error.
I have a 4670 k 650 Ti OC 4 GB Ram
I meet the requirements with an A+, gold star, and a pat on the back.
I've found the "-dontForceMinReqs" workaround but that forces the lowest graphics settings. The game also is running fairly strangely, as in dropping randomly and sometimes just not allowing me to click options, but I'm unsure if that is because of the work around or just really not optimized for Windows 8.
I'm basically wondering if anyone has had similar issues and if they've found a way to play on better settings with possibly a smoother experience.
Witcher 2 looks beautiful; I don't want to play its ugly annoying little brother when the little brother could have so much potential.
