I did that. Worked well with both ps3 and xbox 360.
As for the topic, is the Hitman series worth it at 75% off?

Yes the hitman series is worth it, amazing games. Never played the 1st game though, but the 2nd and 4th game are differnetly worth it, if you are into these kind of games then go for it, many good hours of gameplay

if you want to have a look at how to really have fun with that game, watch one of AuZZieGamer's let's plays, that dude is hilarious in these hitman/splinter cell kinda games.

It's not super hard, at least not at the difficulty I'm playing at (normal I believe) but it's really good, especially at that price. If you're a fan of the Alice story already, its a pretty cool "what if" about what could've happened after the events of the books. The story and atmosphere is a bit dark in places, so if that might bother you maybe stay away, but other than that, I'd really recommend it. The scenery is really beautiful in places, it does a really good job of portraying Wonderland I think.
One of the biggest concerns I had when I bought it was the keyboard controls, since I don't have a gamepad, and I'm happy to say they work just fine, at least by my standards. It takes a bit of getting used to, jumping in and out of focus-mode, switching focus-targets, etc. but it's definitely doable if you don't have a gamepad (If you do, though, I'm willing to bet those controls will feel more natural, and most of the platforming isn't precise enough to be messed up by not having the precise control the mouse provides)

You don't need to be super familiar with the Alice in Wonderland story for the game to make sense, you may not get some of the references to things, but that's not a huge deal. The game is still solid, and since the storyline is mostly uncovering what happened AFTER the events of the book, you can easily piece together what you need to know without too much difficulty. Hope you enjoy the game!

It's not Steam, but gog.com is having a D&D sale on atm. I know Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale are meant to be "classics", but how well have they aged exactly? What about the other games in the set? Looking at gameplay video, I can see some parallels between Fallout 1& 2 and Dungeon Siege, both of which I enjoyed.

Don't know about Icewind Dale, but Baldur's Gate is getting a remake releasing sometime this year if you are worried about aging.

Steam is so fucking addictive... I just dropped 60 dollars, got CS: GO, FTL, Orange Box, Witcher 2 (enchanced edition), dota 2 and I AM ALIVE : P must stop buying!
I also got KOTOR 2 (loved KOTOR 1!) and downloaded LOTRO : D

All games except for Baldur's Gate 1 and NWN1 have aged very, very well and still look beautiful and are playable on new systems without any issues whatsoever (which is a given on most gog.com releases anyway).
BG1 in its original form is not something that I would recommend today, but you have two options with that one: - download and install BG Tutu, which ports the entirety of BG1 into the BG2 engine, and it will look just as great. - wait for the BG extended edition, which is coming out in a few days now if I'm not wrong and get that one separately.
That will give it a technical facelift at least, although BG1 still has its own pacing and level design issues that make it somewhat sub-par relative to BG2/ToB and the "cousin" games. Everything BG1 did well for its time, BG2 just did a LOT better, and you can get into the story without much difficulty without having played the first one. If you're looking for a game to skip, this would be my first choice.
NWN1 is the first full 3D game they did, and it looked pretty bad even back in the day and it controls kind of clunky. With the expansions it's a pretty big game, so if you can get past the technical drawbacks you can get a LOT of time out of it. But it would still be my second choice to skip on.
Demon Stone I remember being really fast paced and quite difficult/challenging, and it doesn't look too bad. It's a bit like a faster version of LOTR War in the North in that it has you swap between 3 heroes and you fight hordes of enemies. I would get it over Dragonshard, which was pretty average as far as RTS goes.
TL;DR: BG2, IWD1+2, Torment and DS I would recommend as games that have all aged well and play perfectly fine in 2012.

Hey guys, would anyone of you be interested in Portal 2 for 3,75 €? If so, PM me.

Holy shit, you can finally create steam libraries on seperate harddrives (latest beta I think). It's been my biggest pet peeves with steam in the past.
And just so I'm not completely off topic here, go buy FTL on sale.

Magicka is $2.49 and the Collection pack is at $8.74. Is it worth it to buy the Collection pack for all the DLC contents?

Most of the DLC is cosmetic; robes, staffs and weapons. The DLC that are worth it as they include additional content are The Stars are left and the other side of the coin, both are 75% off and would drive the price to a bit over 5 dollars. If you like cosmetic stuff go for the collection, if not pick up those 2 and the base game.
Magicka vietnam also has some content but it is just a survival map and a score attack minigame.

Oh thank you for the quick and really helpful respond. I will settle with the original game since $2.49 is a steal!!
