Also pick up the Expansion while you're at it!

I bought quite a few games on sale...
Two standouts would be Crusader Kings II and SUPER MEAT BOY!!!.
SMB especially is just amazing, cannot recommend this game enough + great soundtrack, and yes it can be played quite easily with a keyboard.
Go pick them up if you are remotely interested in the genres, Grimrock too but I already had that .
I bought Trine 1 + 2 which seem quite cool but haven't really had time for that one yet.
Didn't really understand Terraria from the 2 minutes I played, probably have to look at it more closely but can't be bothered at the mo too many games to play .

They advertise Complete as "vanilla experience", as "only bugfixing visual overhaul". In reality they change the gameplay shittons, usually only making the experience EASIER than vanilla game. Their bug-fixing reputation is also overrated, Complete09 only uses older beta-version of ZRP as its base, and CS & CoP versions tend to add MORE bugs and annoyances.
Also LURK is cool I guess for SoC. If you can't enjoy the games vanilla though you won't enjoy them modded, as the game only gets harder from then on. Also play on Master, it makes the game far more enjoyable when you and the enemies dont take 40 bullets to kill. EDIT: There are much much more mods out there, but those are the more famous ones that you should bother with at first. Vanilla for both games should last you for quite a long time though
so i dont need an unofficial patch?

I'm gonna wait till the last day and see if it goes on a flash sale for 75 percent off for CIV 5 plus Gods and kings.
If it doesn't i can just buy it on the last day for its current sale

I highly recommend picking up GC2. If you like Grand Strategy games like EU3, you will like GC2.

Total war heads; Need help deciding what to get.
Is Napoleon TW fun/ interesting as a campaign or should I just get empire and get Shogun at christmas or has shogun innovated in a lot of nice ways and should I just look for a big deal on shogun at the end of the steam sale?
*Read the posts earlier / I played Rome and enjoyed it.... Basically deciding between this pack and Shogun pack
edit: is there any other indie game like/as awesome as bastion? Just started playing it... and it's great..

only bought streetfighter so far this sale.
nothing that really interests me. hopefully arma2 gets soon on sale.

It's going to all come down to opinions. However, I personally think Shogun + Fall of the Samurai is a far better and more fun deal than Napoleon. Especially since FotS does basically everything Napoleon does.

anyone have any suggestions for a good game that can suck a of time into. Not really looking for stragety or standard rpg. I've played most of the popular rpg (skyrim, DA:O) and most of the stragety games. plus the X series of games. Looking for something more action packed, that has some open world, and you can suck a lot of time into. Not really into space though either, so something land based would be peferable? I really liked Batman Arkham city, but wanted something a little more open worldish.
I'm not really sure what I'm looking for tbh, just a good time sink that has a lot of action to it.
Thank in advance folks!

edit: is there any other indie game like/as awesome as bastion? Just started playing it... and it's great.. Shogun is the better and more complete game no doubt, especially in single player. The battle engagements (especially in the original shogun) are much more interesting due to small amounts of ranged units, and the campaign is much more replayable.
Then again, I've loved the shogun theme ever since the first one. If you're into napoleontic history/warfare, I'd imagine you enjoy that one more. I personally prefer the original shogun over fall of the samurai too. I like building 'themed' melee armies instead of min/maxing and the original is much more versatile.

Fuck, it's annoying seeing the same deals being cycled over and over again but in different sections, just put new games on already.
