56, 80, 96, 120 seem to be the levels.
56 at Anor Londo and the rest pretty much at Kiln. I'm 80 and PvP at Kiln all day. I make videos (not the best quality) and have currently got ones of rapier, uchi, iaido, falchion and daggers if anyone cares to have a looksy:

There is an infinite soul glitch, so there is a lot of souls running around. Plus, if you want to PvP, you don't want to be over 125+ SL anyways, so most people just have a lot of souls hoarded.

You can get a ton of souls legit by PvP'ing. I spent a few days doing it and got over 5 million souls. Usually it's because when people just pvp like me, they just get a bunch of souls with little need for it seeing as they aren't going to level, so most people I fight just have loads of souls on them.
I must have been like a piñata when they smashed me up...

I'm not saying that you can't get souls legit. I'm just saying there is also a gigantic influx of souls due to the infinite soul glitch. Considering Cloud invaded via the Blue Eye Orb and wasn't dueling with the Dragon Eye, it's likely these people aren't exactly the all-out PvP type.

just killed gwyn for the first time. kinda curious about some parts of story though specifically + Show Spoiler +why are we even out to kill the lords/gwyn in the first place. i picked the dark lord ending first so maybe more was revealed in the bonfire one. also in the intro when u start a newgame/new character, im willing to bet the "forgotten one" is you. lastly still confused why petrus tried to kill the miracle preist. she was so kind :/
amazing first playthrough. music during the fight was boss
gonna try and get the all miracles trophy and then make a sorcery-only sorc now.

lol i think i fucked up and used the firekeepers soul to boost my flask instead of resurrecting her. Can i resurrect her with any other soul or was that one unique?

Maybe, you can give it a try. Just bring another Fire Keeper Soul and see if a window pops up or not. You can decide yes or no if it does.
You can get to +7 for your Estus Flask on your first playthrough, and not returning her Fire Keeper Soul is required in order to do so.

The Pygmy, unlike the other lords (Gwyn, Nito, With of Izalith) decided not to use his lord soul as the others had and instead decided to look to the future. All the while, Gwyn and the other gods ushered in the Age of Fire with the firstly lit flame and their lord souls, but as the intro explains, the first flame has slowly begun to die. The Pygmy looked forward to this time, as he believed that his descendants would then usher in the Age of Dark, where the chosen undead (you) would rule instead of the gods. This is why there's an asylum built to jail undead- Gwyn and the other gods were afraid of losing everything they had, so they locked up all the Pygmy's descendants. Basically, you find out that Gwynevere (giant breast lady in Anor Londo) is just an illusion constructed by Gwyndolin, so it is through Gwyndolin that you are tasked to supposedly save Lordran by re-kindling the flame. Gwyndolin seems to actually be the only sane deity left in the area, and he tries to manipulate you to re-kindle the fire at the kiln so that the Age of Fire may continue. This is why lighting the bonfire at the end seems to be the bad ending. It seems to suggest that the Age of Fire will continue. The Dark Lord ending seems like the good ending to me, as it makes sense that you destroy all the old lords and Gwyn himself to usher in a new age that the Pygmy predicted. Of course, a lot of my details are probably wrong as I am pretty bad at explaining things, but the jist of the story is there.

How do I get Great Lightning Spear?

On November 02 2011 09:23 Assuton wrote: How do I get Great Lightning Spear? Join the Warrior of Sunlight covenant. The altar is located under the Hellkite Dragon at the Undead Burg, right after the Taurus Demon. You need 50 faith to join, minus 5 faith for every boss you've helped someone else kill (so if you were summoned three times and helped those three summoners kill the level boss, you only need 35 faith to join). To get Great Lightning Spear, you need 10 Sunlight Medals, which you can get by helping others kill a boss as a Warrior of Sunlight, or by summoning other Warriors of Sunlight/Solaire to kill a boss.
On a somewhat related note, the new 1.04 patch is hitting Japan in a few hours with some good tweaks. I believe they are changing the required faith to just 25 to join the Warrior of Sunlight covenant. Some notable things being changed, taken from another site:
-Elemental weapons are being fixed -Scaling weapons being fixed. -Glitched spells (Greater magic shield, TWOP, etc) fixed. -The input delay we sometimes experience will be fixed. -The requirement for the sunbro covenant will be reevaulized to make it lower -When you use a cracked reb orb and it fails it will not be considered used -A lot of new weapons will be added to all the vendors -No more soul glitch -No more smuggly glitch -Fixed multiplayer

Ah Thanks for the info. Any word on when the patch will hit NA? TWOP is so cheap lmao
|
Can you actually get enough Sunlight Medals from just summoning guys in PvE? I can't really connect for co-op right now. Or maybe the Lightning Spear spells isn't that necessary for faith in a PvE sense?
Also if my connection gets fixed are there still people lining up for some co-op and is there some hotspots or should you should sit at every boss or something?

No idea when/if the patch will get to NA. I hear there's an issue already with 1.04 in Japan, and From is releasing yet another patch to resolve that.
@Lewfen- You can get one by freeing Lautrec before the Gargoyles, one each time for summoning Solaire for the Gargoyles, Gaping Dragon, Smough and Ornstein, and possibly Gwyn. There's also a chest with about three or four medals in Anor Londo, across from the second bonfire, so you can easily get ten medals on your second playthrough.

is the patch up yet, and does it help with match making? (if possible link the patch notes couldnt find them)

I just found out about this game recently. Looks amazing! I like games that offer a challenge, so many games are too easy these days.
Sounds like the first one is only on PS3... makes deciding which console to get an easy choice lol.
