I really like this game this far, for the epic battles I can take part in. Squad of enemy tanks attacking an installation, firing from the top of a hilly mountain at our tanks below. Our infantry lines firing each other too, and aircraft buzzing around. In another game, a massive armored convoy of tens and tens of players driving around the map.
I like it. --- If you are solo, auto-join a squad. It will help you.
Most of the time when I join the squad there are absolutely no direction from the squad leader, it's exactly the same as playing alone.
Hey im just getting into the game!! im on us east waterson! I hope there are a regular TL players out there to get a TL squad going Add me!! id: LethaLaZn
Ya I noticed there are some really bad squads where everyone is pretty much solo and there is absolutely no communication and there are some really fun ones too. Usually squads with mics are doing well lol.

You should check online and try and find an outfit.
Squads with mic communcation, especially the platoon commander and squad leader is usually the best. I've played with a successful platoon doing massive build-ups and zerging through Esamir.
The huge battles you can get in this game are some of the most epic experiences I've had in a videogame, even though I personally get pretty bad fps in them. If I didn't get bad FPS in these big battles, I would probably be completely addicted. I usually ragequit after an hour or two of the big battles because nothing is more frustrating than dying from lag but it's still amazing to just watch even if I've got like 10% accuracy and contribute very little because I'm too busy obsing the battlefield lol
It's just amazing to run down your battle line of tanks/infantry all firing across the field at the enemy army and have aircraft blazing by overhead with death everywhere. The scope of this game just dwarfs any other FPS I've played. This is probably the best reason I've had to buy a new PC in like 3-4 years.
Got stuck in an uphill trench yesterday, some 50 or so people trying to storm up this narrow trench, taking shelter behind every single rock as the TR kept raining grenades on us.
Shows how important sunderer locations are. Only after someone placed one on the other end of the base did we make any real progress, other than get massacred for gaining a few meters.
Medics are also important! We got stuck behind some rocks, and didn't make progress before only one medic came and revived us 1 sec after we got killed and healed all of us!
The upgraded medic tool is amazing. Reduced healing and revival times are nice and everything, but my favorite thing about the upgrades is the increased range. Being able to revive someone from cover gives me a huuuuge boost in terms of survivability. Add in Nano-Regen and Nanoweave, and you basically never die as medic.

Lucky for me I don't have FPS issue but I completely agree with you. The epic battles this game has is the best thing I have ever played in an FPS in my life.
I will never forget the first day of launch, we're all assaulting this base and then 20+ transport vehicles on my team all storm in and drop so many troops at once. The game really feels like a war and I love how much teamwork there is. So many awesome battles I have experienced and yeah this game is fucking awesome.
I bought a 360 controller a few days ago and i just tried using it for reaver piloting but i can't seem to get the hang of it. Anyone else using one for flying and could tell me how you set up the key bindings? I haven't used a controller since the SNES so i don't really know which of those 20 buttons and sticks is ideal for what action. I tried the left stick for pitch/roll, the direction pad thing for throttle/yaw, the right stick for camera and then ascend/descend and weapon toggle with the L1/L2/R1/R2 thingies and the rest for fire, afterburner, countermeasures and such. That didn't really work at all, i couldn't aim at anything because turning was impossible and trying to roll a little ended up in a 90° roll that sent me spinning into the next mountain.

Yeah, flight control with mouse is just horrible, you constantly have to reposition your mouse which messes up your turns. I thought a gamepad might fix that but i guess i'm just not used to those

I use left joystick for acceleration/deceleration/yaw, right joystick for pitch & roll, the bumbers for climb & descend. I also found that the dpad was bugged. I could map them but they only work for 1 key press, after which i have to remap them (so completely useless) everything else is really just preference.
Alternately I've considered switching so that acceleration/deceleration/roll were mapped to the left joystick & have pitch & yaw mapped to the right...I haven't decided which i like best yet.
