In infantry combat, everyone is basically on equal footing. As long as you can aim well, you have a decent chance of winning any 1v1 encounter. Half truth here, depending on the factions, you got easy mode (VS, TR) and hard mode (NC). There are 3 primarily attributes to guns, fire rate, accuracy and damage, ordering from the most importance to the least. NC has the damage, but why is it hard mode? Because each time you're shot, you lose additional accuracy on top of already high recoil guns. If you're fighting someone front on, and both fires at same time with same aim, you will lose straight up because most of your shot won't even land. However if you're skilled and smart enough, it wouldn't be much of a problem, unfortunately the majority aren't, that is why NC are called hard mode.
Also, if you are skilled and smart, it's 50/50 who wins.

aaaaaaaaaaaaand of course today is the day my internet goes to hell Although it was quite funny watching tanks go up a hill and just keep flying up into the sky lol!!!

The hardmode is deceptive. Basically the NC default HA rifle (Gauss SAW) has a lot of horizontal recoil, and some vertical recoil by default and while this is fine for a skilled player, once certed into double forward grip, compensator and high velocity ammo this BEAST weapon unleashes a hidden fury, and becomes the most medium / long range badass gun of the game. You can redmist NC / VS heavies at great distances with small bursts before they can effectively get into their preferred range and shoot. It is AMAZING.
So basically NC is deceptively hardmode, as their weapons only unlock their true fury when certed into while VS and TR weaponry has a more "What you see is what you get" kind of feel to it which leaves the budding NC player wanting, and the NC veteran gloating.
It is an instant noob filter, the best gunplay balance in any game at this scope I have seen, and I think it is AMAZING.

The other factions have like no weaknesses and NC has no strengths. I'm with your cause my TL brothers.
I'll be on Mattherson doing (TR) invites now. Friend Rahsun.

Ok so I've got some time and been on it this afternoon. Holy hell talk about trial by fire!!! I think I was alive about 6 seconds on first spawn before I died.
But just a couple of things I dont get.
How scarce are the resources that you get? I didnt spawn many vehicles but from my brief log on this morning, to the afternoon i seemed to gain about 500 or so, that normal? Also, is there anything else except MAXs' and grenades to spend infantry money on?
I can see why it would be much better in an organised group. I didnt join any squads, just kinda kept following the crowd. Managed to take a couple of territories so got some certs and some ranks.
Game looks amazing!! really need to brush up on my FPS skills though I think!!

You can also unlock medkits and c4s and stuff and they use the infantry money.

It depends on the continent. If you have about 1/3rd of the continent, you shouldn't have to worry too much about resources. However, if your faction has less, resources can become a problem. In those situations it's best to rely heavily on infantry which can actually deal quite well with enemy vehicles.
If you hold Tab, you can see the income and when the next resource tick is going to happen. You gain the income every 5 minutes.

Some people really can't stand giving kills to the opponents.
I just had an enemy pilot jump out of his burning mosquito and shoot it with his own rifle just to deny me the kill. It was fun to look at
|
Or he jumped out to repair it, but didn't pre-equip his repair tool and had his rifle out instead.
and the CD on aircraft should be fucking halved when a friendly craft rams you to death. Fuck that shit.
