Especially the various changes to the combat system seem really good. http://theelderscrollsskyrim.com/unofficial-skyrim-information-part-1/ "‘Magnetism’ in your attacks draws them more towards enemies rather than allies." Sounds stupid. If my companion is retarded enough to position himself in a way that causes friendly fire, then by all mean, let him get hit. "Special kill animations: Depending on your weapon, the enemy, and the fight conditions, you may execute a devastating finishing move that extinguishes enemies with a stylistic flourish." Hopefully there will be an option or a mod to turn this off. "Blunt & Blade skills have been replaced by Two-Handed & One-Handed." A flail and a longsword is basically the same. So now you just need training in One-Handed to use both blunt and blade weapons effectively. How cool is that. "If you kill a shop owner, their family member will inherit the shop and will be angry about you, but still give you missions, which could then improve your relation with them." Killing minor NPCs has no consequences whatsoever. The wound and anger caused by the death of a kin can be healed with a simple errand, and by the murderer no less.

Is this going to be a big drawback/should i dl them and do a quick story run through?? There's no story to be found in Elder Scroll games. There is *some*, but it's bad and doesn't really influence anything, so I wouldn't bother picking up previous installments beforehand.

Interesting that you guys are talking about stealth mage-ing it up. :o In my "Let's Play / You Decide" thread at http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=280419 I'm polling on the vital "magic use" now, thought the main skyrim thread would have a cool input on what you want to see in an eventual lets play (I assume you guys will be too busy playing to watch live!) I'll copy the poll over here as well, think it will magically "slip" into the other thread too. NO MAGIC Traditional stealthy character wielding two daggersn sneaking up behind monsters and just stabbing them to death directly. ![]() SOME MAGIC Sneaky character aided with magic. Invisibility, buff himself, debuff enemies. Certainly, the addition of some magic would also weaken the "core" of the character as a stealth character. The flexibility of magic as well as potential strengths from it such as enchanting the dagger, paralyzing creatures if your first shot doesn't kill them, etc could be interesting. ![]() LOTS OF MAGIC This gets into unusual "stealth mage" category since combat is started by sneaking up to something and stabbing them. This would mean that first stab would be enchanted as much as possible, and then the dagger would be put away to cast spells from close range. Not a very common type of character I'm sure, but that's the beauty of no set classes. ![]() Poll: How much magic should Trump use? Some Magic (52) Lots of Magic (23) No Magic (19) 94 total votes Your vote: How much magic should Trump use?

Sure I might be a little less skilled, but you have to remember you have been fighting for quite some time, and you probably have trained a small amount with all sorts of weapons. If I am good at fighting I probably know how to read body language or something and strike and block when needed, and if I have fought vs axe users, then I know what maybe could work and what cant. Just saying, this whole, having a blunt stat means its less immersive = bullshit for me

Will you roleplay only if it doesn't effect quests or never? Poll: RP? Yes (16) When it is convinient (11) No (9) 36 total votes Your vote: RP? Will you use all the help the game provides you? Or disable questmarkers and compass? Or draw your own map? Poll: Restrictions None (20) Disable markers + compass (4) Hardcore Skyrim (draw own map) (3) 27 total votes Your vote: Restrictions (Vote): None I will go one-hand(probably sword) + shield Orc, who doesn't trust Bretons and Redguards and might even kill them if they offend him and he can get away with it(Will probably only kill unimportant ones though). I will disable compass + questmarker provided there is a reasonable amount of quest description like in Morrowind. I will use archery too when I am in the open but that won't be the center of the build.

He will be honorable but more to his own code/ethic than societies, think neutral good. He will be cunning and not an idiot but socially awkward and a bit stupid when it comes to diplomacy. I will be using a compass and questmarkers where needed because I can't be bothered making maps and ingame conveniances dont break my personal immersion level.
