If you had a copy of the game, why would you take the time to write up stuff when you could...I dunno...play it?!

I played oblivion on console when it came out, I think it was even my first 360 game. I played that shit for well over 100 hours and I loved it. How can you possibly tell me I'm wrong? Mods make it a better game, without a doubt. But I have a hard time understanding where this console/nomods HATE comes from........ Hell, I played Fallout 3 and new-vegas on console without mods too. I had a fucking blast. So please people, try not to throw out your opinions as facts, and remember to just love the games. That's all. I played 100 hours on console too, and then I played an additional 100 hours on PC because the mod ability provided so much longevity. To add, my xbox and ps3 performs 1/5th to 1/10th of what my PC can perform. 2004 graphics, 2004 performance, 2004 game, or 2011 game, great performance, and unparalleled mod ability compared to it's console counterparts. The decision was simple for me. My best friend pre ordered it on Xbox though, because he liked the "controls" better. Funny thing is you can plug in an xbox360 controller on near every single release today and the control scheme swaps right over. To each their own though. If someone does not want to put in the effort to understand why mods are so great that's their choice. Oblivion was barely even patched, PC modders created the "Unnoficial Oblivion Patch" and patched THOUSANDS of bugs from the game. Oblivion was not the same without this mod for me. Dragon Age I and II, X series games, minecraft, near every rpg i've played has been significantly enhanced by the use of mods and as PC gamers it's something we love having. Source games would not be the same without the zombie mods, mini game servers, surf servers, hell, Counter-strike would not even exist if there was no HL modability. Every now and then modders make something absolutely spectacular and i'm sure theres going to be a few of those with the popularity of Skyrim. edit: this is the patch list for the Unofficial oblivion patch. You can expect a similar list needing to be created with Skyrim. http://www.baldurdash.org/TESOblivion/UOPFixList.html

Skill trees: http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/lzl70/skyrim_skill_trees/ Racial features: + Show Spoiler + Argonian: natural resistance to diseases, breathe underwater, call upon Histskins to regenerate hp quickly. Breton: quick and perceptive grasp of spellcraft, boost resistance to magic, can call upon dragonskin power to absorb spells. Dark Elf: noted for stealth and magic skills, naturally resistant to fire, can call upon their Ancestor's Wrath to surround themselves in fire High Elf: strongly gifted in arcane arts of all the races, can call upon their Highborn power to regenerate Magicka quickly Imperial: skilled with combat and magic, get more money when they find gold, can call upon the voice of the emperor to calm an enemy Khajit: intelligent, quick, agile, good theives due to natural stealthiness. can see in the dark at will and have unarmed claw attacks. Nord: resistance to cold and "famous as talent as warriors?". can use a battlecry to make opponents flee. Orc: smiths are prized for their craftsmanship, heavy armor orcs are among the finest in the empire, and are fearsome when using their berserker rage. Redguard: most naturally talented warriors, have a hardly constitution and a natural resistance to poison. They can call upon an Adrenaline Rush in combat. (we're playing as a Redguard) Wood Elf: make good scouts and thieves, no finer archers. Natural resistance to both poisons and diseases. They can control animals to fight for them. And seriously guys, this consoles vs pc talk is getting annoying. IMO, consoles are for convenience, and PCs are for customization and better performance/graphics. Playing on consoles is a very respectable decision, as not everyone has the patience and/or money to build their own PC or mod the game. If you have fun in the game, PC or console, then that's all that matters.

Doesn't really spoil anything and despite the player sucking, you get a really nice look into the Fighters Guild and crafting (which is awesome). Also, the map is fucking amazing. Edit: Oh, and I was very pleased to see the troll fuck up the low lvl player. Funny thing is that in every video and stream of the leaked game that I've seen so far, players of all skill levels have been fucked up by trolls. They are truly scary creatures, and it feels amazing to know that death is always around the corner, whether it is in the form of a random troll, random mage, or random dragon.

Im hestitating on getting i3-2130 I assume the game benefits from a quad core processor since it's listed in the recommended settings. My guess is that extra cores will speed up the decompression of BSA files during play. from the PC System Requirements for Skyrim Recommended Specs * Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit) * Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU * 4GB System RAM * 6GB free HDD space * DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher (i.e GTX550Ti); ATI Radeon 4890 or higher). * DirectX compatible sound card * Internet access for Steam activation Minimum Specs * Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit) * Processor: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor * 2GB System RAM * 6GB free HDD Space * Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM * DirectX compatible sound card * Internet access for Steam activation

So do sneaky thief/hunter/assassin characters though. Orc warrior, especially considering what happened between Oblivion and Skyrim in the Books+ Show Spoiler + Bretons and Redguard commited a genocide against them; Imperial Legion escorted survivors to Skyrim I can't decide....sooo hard. What are you guys gonna play?
