Today I realized...
You can set your spells to Number Hotkeys..... You Favorite them then press the number........ SHQIUWDJASDH
I can't believe that it was a feature but I never knew. I spent so much time pressing Q then looking through all my favorites for something that I constantly swapped between.
Yeah but I didnt know you could do it for anything. It was different system in oblivion and I tried hotkeying in the menus not the favorites and it didnt work
So after clocking in 100 hours on my save file, I decided to try creating an alternate save file for a new character for a fresh change basically.
I play on the PS3 and after starting a new game my original character was automatically deleted completely without a notification. Even the manual save file is deleted... God this is so demotivating T_T I don't really mind that much having to start from scratch since the game is still so much fun, but it boggles my mind how Bethesda didn't consider people wanting to use more than 1 character in a single PSN account.
Did you rely on your autosave file? Because some people say that only those will get overwritten, while others complain about manual saves being overwritten, too. If Skyrim overwrites even your manual saves, a possible fix is to do more than one manual saves at the same spot, as some say only one will be overwritten.

This happened to me as well (but I only lost about 21 levels). I specifically manually saved and wrote down the file name before I started again. Yeesh. Not sure if I have it in me to play the game anymore. The level scaling is not working for me. I dominate, then get smashed depending on which enemies spawn. Dragons are easier than bandits, then blood dragons crushed me into nothing.
I have FO NV. Even though it scales, I'm thinking of playing it. I like guns more than swords anyway :/.
It basically allows you to shout your thu'um into a microphone and have it trigger your character to use it in game. Looks really cool to me, but I don't plan on using it myself as I'd feel extremely awkward shouting random things at my computer. Seems like it has a few seconds delay on it as well which would get annoying.

Probably should have read the little tutorial messages on first play instead of just closing them in a man-like manner "I got dis, fk manuals" :p

It's very much likely going to be like the Gamecube and its microphone peripheral.

I've gotten 2 players to level 50+ now, 1 was pure mage until level 30, the other pure heavy 2 hander until 30.
First a mage, I got all the spells, started off with destruction and restoration, while doing soultrap and watherbreathing cast tricks to power level the less practical magical trees..... then researched sneak and archery... didn't do any crafting. I happened to do all the Mage college quests first, which had the nice side effect of giving you the Arch-mage quarters. Nicest house I've seen, plus you have herb garden, alchemy lab, enchanting lab all right there. Duel cast destruction was the first thing I went to, which ends up being all that you ever need because the stun from dual cast perk, works on everything, even the end dragon. Mages don't scale though, the master level spells are not practical because of cast times while being in cloth armory. The game is still easily beatable, because you can stun lock any mobs, and heal through most everything, but you can definitely be killed if you go afk.
Second, a 2 handed heavy armor smithing character. Smithing = Power, with smithing perks you can translate gold into the best gear. Then the game becomes a series of merchantile events whereby you are able to make 1000 iron daggers. On the way I got Dwarven and Orcish armoy to go with my dwarven 2 handed greatword. Easy to get, super strong for under lvl 15 and looks amazing. Its all gold. Then I got Orcish, its better, but more plain looking.
Then I powered smithing to 100 and realized.... fuck..... where the hell am i going to ever find Ebony ingots and ebony ore. The console... that's where! Seriously, you need like 20 bars to make an Ebony/Daedric set, and I don't rember seeing more than 2 or 3 Ebony ore/ingots in 2 play throughs. Is it all in one spot?
Smithing makes all your gear, so if you play a warrior (ie: gear dependent) type class, it can quickly make you OP.
Then I powered to 100 enchanting, while leveling archery. I needed to try the duel enchants. It too is indeed, as reported, a way to become OP.
Really, despite starting one toon with spells, and another toon a heavy armor warrior the best thing about Skyrim is the outside environment. Sneak archery in the wilderness is what Skyrim is all about! That is the most fun I have, the dungeons all feel the same after a while and it just feels better to be outside. Hunting Giants and Mammoths, it's intense! My mage could stun lock them, but my warrior had to kite them using stamina, which made it much more fun. Once I got Daedric Armor, then I could just beat them down (default difficulty)
On both my toons, I got sneak perks and archery perks so I could get 6 times sneak damage with bow. Get that, with a soul trap on your bow..... good times.
I barely read any of the quests or listened to any of the dialogue on either play through. The quest and quest rewards are weak compared to the perks you get simply from leveling. So don't worry about what some NPC wants, when just playing gets you much better perks. With my 2 handed toon, I just chopped everyone I saw down outside of cities, I needed to level my 2 hander.... for the good of Skyrim!
So, that's been my experience. Aside from the quests, what aspects have I missed that I should try in a third play? If I do make a third toon, I'll play on the hardest level.

And Realistic Water Textures is absolutely insane.
I just saw gophersvids review the realistic lighting and it made the game look alot more realistic and it has no impact on performance, I play on a low end system so I need that.
Also apparently tytanis also has deadly dragons mod's textures, like swamp dragon and such. :s this tytanis mod is so big I don't even know what it all includes.
The game got boring for me around level 25, where I got frustrated with how slow improving my professions was. Then I changed it up a little bit, simply by spicing it up with side quests. I am now level 37, with 89 enchanting, and 77 Alchemy, all the while completing quests, making money, and burning it on alchemy ingredients to improve my alchemy. (and using daggers found on mobs for enchanting) It created a really nice dynamic for me.
