+ Show Spoiler + ![]() It's not owned by anyone, either, as far as I know; it doesn't count as stealing, even when Ysolda watches you open it. Is this some weird anomaly (akin to the floating chests under the town's market stalls and the Skyforge)? Is it for a quest? Or is it indeed a Thieves Cache that wasn't tagged properly?

I thought it was a Thieves Guild cache when I found it on my first character, but this time, I actually decided to check for the appropriate Shadowmark, and could not find it. It also doesn't have the caption of "Thieves Cache" when you mouse over it to open it, which separates it from any other Cache that I know of. It's just... a treasure chest. Apparently the merchants store their inventories in chests which are usually underground or invisible or both but sometimes the mapmakers messed up and you can access them. Might be one of those.

I would totally use that since I can't trust any of these freaking chests. Buy a house man or start selling some stuff lol. The Breezeholm in Whiterun is only 5k you should settle down there.

If you want to be even more sure it's safe, only use the containers inside your houses that start empty.

It's definitely not that. Ysolda isn't a merchant, and I saw stuff like Daedric arrows in there the first time I found it. It's leveled content, not the things I've sold anyone. And this chest was meant to be found, unlike the other merchant chests.

And some of the barrels even got destroyed in the battle of whiterun, but after leaving the city and coming back again, they respawned together with everything I left in them. I think those barrels might be even safer than the chest in my house ^_^ Never lost anything that was in there.

I think atm I have like 2500 worth of stuff in my inventory, once I get low on money again I can just sell off a ton and start my stealing process again. I got a little crazy on my last "heist" were I cleared out Solitude and Riften, kinda wish I had laid off the weapons since they count for so little but it really doesn't matter I suppose. lol edit-Oh and I finally bit the bullet and killed that loud mouth guy in Whiterun by the Talos shrine, no bounty or anything, I didn't know using invisibility could keep you from being caught. ![]() I kill that idiot every time I hear him speak, but I make sure to quicksave before it because I have no stealth stuff.
