The combat system doesn't allow for too high difficulty. Otherwise, people would stop playing after getting 1 shotted by every other enemy. It would be pretty cool to necessitate sneaking and picking your battles, but I don't think that fits well with most types of characters and the feel they were going for with Skyrim. It would be fun as an archer/assassin though. thats just not true. without perks / crafting you dont stand a chance at master. unless you just endlessly abuse pots and even then lotsa stuff will just 1hit you while you need like 20 swings to kill it. I tried Master with my 2h warrior and it was more or less the same just enemies took more hits so I put it back on default. At this point only mages can kill me and I could just enchant my gear to change that if I wanted to, but it wouldn't be any fun. When I max heavy armor I'll be switching to light armor so that should up the difficulty a bit ![]() Also, how can you run out of money? I have the house in Whiterrun and in Solitude will all upgrades and I still have 30k. I barely even sell anything, I have a stash filled with dragon bones/scales, gems, staves, soul gems, etc. The game seems to give me so much gold for barely any work.

With my second Character i got to the same level twice as fast, maxed enchanting and alchemy and bought the house in solitude. And now im kinda broke since ive got 4 k potions which i can use to enhance alchemy even further but lets face it: Selling an item which gives you 2 k is kinda useless when most traders have <1000 anyway ![]() What makes me cry is the fact that my mage is now kinda indestructible because i can cast conjuration and destruction for free, have huge amounts of life potions and iam a breton with an active atronach stone ![]() ![]()

I do not remember at all doing this, is there a way I can back track to find this shrine? I feel like I'm really gonna miss out having missed it lol Just go to the east from the Riverwood, by the river, along the road.

i dont know how you play this game, but i always felt pretty threatened when i saw a 2H bandit chief, some kind of mage, higher level dragons, 2 handed dragaurs, frost trolls until a certain level, bears until a certain level, sabre cats until a certain level. Well unless ofc you have the best armor in the game plus enchants, but thats how this game is. If you want to be completely godlike, you are allowed to do so. You dont see me complaining that BG2 is too easy when i make a custom party entirely with multi and dual class mages oO

You dont see me complaining that BG2 is too easy when i make a custom party entirely with multi and dual class mages oO But you can only break BG if you know the ins and outs of the game, when to switch class, etc. I broke Skyrim by jumping onto a rock against a giant at lvl 5. You break with normaly leveling like any of these 5 trees: Conjuration, Alchemy, Smithing, Archery, Block. And to some degree with the other trees. Dunno, it lacks depth, I'm waiting for mods to change that. Localized damage should be possible since if im not mistaken this runs on the same engine as Fallout 3, Needs balancing (weapons, apparel with cost -% on magic schools, increases shouldn't be additive or should have a cap) Needs reworking how skills lvl up (smithing lol). Some really stupid bug fixes (soul trap on corpses lol, how mountains works and how you can climb them) Enemy AI is rightdown terrible with big monsters (or not so big monsters like dragaurs) It's nearly impossible to be "bad" and still have quests, so the game kind of forces you to be a good boy. Also you should be able to at least remove quests, like those "fetch me" quests are HORRIBLE. This game is a solid ground for modding and getting a better experience, but right now I find myself taking the worst trees to make it somehow challeging.

How isn't it broken? I have a lvl 50 archer and from the moment you can get a bow (inside the first cave to take the bear) 90% of my battles turned into "Sneak someone, shoot an arrow (in the knee, because there's no localized damage), sneak again, rinse and repeat. If they fight gets ugly get to the high ground and If there's no high ground (like boss fights in some dungeons), just run around and keep fighting whenever they slow down to hit you. Alternatively you can use shouts or conjuration if you have them to finish them off Sometimes bosses choose to get stuck or blocked by some ledge so you can put an ice-cream cone in their heads while you shoow more arrows.. If you have any perks in archery it gets even easier. If you have any poison, its even easier. If you have enchanted bows its easier too. I don't even have one handed or two handed on my archer cause I never needed it. The only thing that made archery more interesting for me was.... tah dah, mods. Adding curve trayectory to arrow shooting (wow, what a brilliant idea! I wonder by bethesda didn't think of that!) and arrow crafting (you have to take time to craft arrows or loot them, instead of having an infinite supply of high lvl arrows).
