Man, you know you're playing too much Skyrim when you're walking around, see random shrubbery and have the biggest urge to go harvest it for alchemy ingredients.

it belongs to a quest in Riften. You probably broke that questline when you did the first mission for the thiefs guild.
The related shopkeeper is the Dunmer with the argonian name Brand-Shei. But when you did the first thiefs guild quest you cant finish his quest anymore because the NPC is gone after you put the faked evidence into his pocket.

that's not true at all
only the mage robes have that property, and the decrease in spell cost is the same, only the magic regeneration (which is useless) is higher
even if you dont use alchemy, at 100 enchanting any gear you make will have enchants as good as any gear you get and you get two
there are some unique weapons that are stronger than anything you can enchant, but as far as the stuff you can disenchant, no
Yeah no. You can't have 60% elemental resist on shit without the requisite elemental enchants perk and +37% to enchant potions. 48% is the max without elemental enchants perk. You can maybe get to 64% but you have to exploit alch/ench interactivity to get +29% to alch on several pieces of gear and then make the +37% enchanting pots, AND have the elemental enchant perk for that element.
hmm
i have not seen anything that high
but, without using alchemy, and not having the elemental perk, you get 20% resist magic and 37% resist element, which combines to 50.4% resistance when do the math
if you are a breton or have the lord stone, then the jump is much more extreme
as far as all the fortify skills, the best random drop you can get is either equal at 100% enchant with a grand soul, or worse
it seems elemental resists are the lone exception, which i was not aware of

Doesn't he go to the Riften jail after the affair? Shouldn't you be able to inquire about the note by talking to him in the Riften jail?
You can, I actually just did his quest yesterday and he was locked up from the Thieves Guild quest.
If you do his quest first and then get him locked up, I don't think he's there. He wasn't there for me just now.
Weird, I didn't pick up the quest until after he was locked up. If you're on PC you can always use a console command to locate him, see where that gets you.

Yeah, to hit resists as high as some gear spawns with you pretty much gotta milk the system as much as possible. I kinda wish I'd kept my Mage as Breton instead of rerolling him to Dunmer just to get the extra 10 points in Destruction starting out, but you at least get 50% fire resist as dunmer so you can still get close to that. For instance, you can slap frost and shock resists on your boots and magic resist on your neck/ring and you'll be scary close to maxing out, especially if you grab magic null 30% from the alteration constellation. (which is a different type of defense than pure resists, hence it stacks regardless of how much resist you really have.)

Well, Brynjolf did say that he wouldn't be in jail for very long, maybe he's at his house?
Edit: So I checked back at the jail, and he's there now, (wasn't there when I went to talk to Sibbi). Weird. I unlocked his cell door too, let's see if he goes out and resumes selling shit now, would like another vendor lol.
Hmm I broke the A Night to Remember quest sequence by talking to Ysolda (and intimidating her ) before visiting Rorikstad. This won't fuck anything over in the longrun right?
And how do I make it so a double-conjured bound sword is in my right hand? So frustrating to double conjure and then be enable to use a shield. Actually bound sword is really frustrating as a whole. The game seems to default spells to the left hand. So when say you're switching from bow -> bound sword, you have to press your hotkey twice, once for your left hand and one for your right. And then you have to equip your shield/conjure your sword. Takes forever.
I got annoyed when they released the patch a few days ago and broke resists (my char with 100% fire resist was getting one-shot by an elder dragon) so I haven't played since. Anyone know if they fix edthat yet, or if there's any way to fix it by yourself?

Its bugged. You can't dual conjure both bound swords right now. Its a bummer. :\

They're releasing another patch this week at some point to (hopefully) fix that.

By intimidating, you just bypassed a couple of the sub-quests. It doesn't affect the end result of the quest though. Still end up in the same place, just with less xp than if you had done the sub-quests. Other than that, no worries.

Doublecasting Conjuration spells only increases their duration, so you're better off just putting it in both hands and casting two of them simultaneously if you plan to dual wield.
It should default to your right hand when doublecast, but at least take comfort in the fact that the 120 second version should be good enough, it doesn't actually improve the sword's damage when doublecast (IIRC), just its duration.

Lol yea, that's what I meant. Xp = Experience points to level up your skills. Sorry if that confused anyone.

You know it's really bad when you get that same urge walking past a memorial with flowers on it.
