1) Archer/Rogue ??
2) Mage Nicely enough Archer, one handed, two handed, mage are all viable Sneak archer is probably the most powerful though how so? 30x backstab, 0 cost destruction spells or legendary daedric armor before doing any quest look more powerful to me

Sneak Archer is what I play, it's really fun!

Sneaky Archer into something melee like 2h Sword :3!
My friend was trying to play the game with Heavy armor, Shield, Fist

None of those are badass, a dual-wielding Nord warrior crushing everything with brute strength is badass.

Unarmed has some sick finishing moves though.

i play as mage and if you don't like a challenge i wouldn't recommend it ^^ i died a looooooot in the beginning and had to trick my way through most boss fights. for me it got really good when i had stuff like silent casting and a bit of sneaking, as well as the perk that lets you stunn opponents for a sec.
but i went pure destruction magic, so i do not know how well you would far with other schools mixed in. (there is a lot of cool stuff in alteration ^^)

For magic schools, conjuration and illusion is where its at.
I suppose bad ass would be wearing robes with a pair of heavy gauntlets and punching things to death.

How do I become sneak archer? Do I have to pick a certain race for this?

Do I have to pick a certain race for this? no your skills can start at 15, 20, or 25 a race has 5(i think?) main stats, which are 20, and 1 is 25, the rest are 15 wood elves have an archery of 25 and sneak 20, so their route is the ''best'' one, but u can even take a high elf(mage) or orc(warrior) and make them into archers, ur just gonna start at a lower level of the skill u level skills by using them, so u dont have to choose anything else but the start at the start, you are free to do and level whatever you want to, even everything at once
|
not really, what race you pick does not matter all too much. there are only slight advantages/disadvantages, but you can do whatever you want with whatever character you want.

The differences between the races are minimal enough and the difficulty of the game is low enough that really any race is fine for anything. To be whatever you want just use those skills and they will go up.

Is this Thief Guild quest bugged?
+ Show Spoiler +So what I have to do is to apparently steal a jade and emerald circlet from Warmaiden's in Whiterun. The only problem is that those items don't exist anywhere in the house. I've checked absolutely every corner of the house during different times of the day for no avail.

Nords are cute :3 Better take an Orc, pick up any Warhammer and bash the heads of ALL YOUR ENEMYs. + Show Spoiler +Also: Eat ALL THE BODIEs! Namira(?) is awesome :3

Breton is pretty much the best race you can choose. 25% magic resist and the race ability help a lot with pretty much any type of character you wanna play.
But just pure for style reasons I would go this way
sneak, I'd take Khajit Mage, I'd take Dark Elf ( cause we all know Altmer are traitors ) melee Nord or Orc depending on what weapon you wanna use

Are you sure you haven't gotten a shill mission and have to place something in a chest? If you can't complete it just go back to Vex and tell her to cancel the job and get a new one.

I have plenty of magicka but I am not able to buy any of the higher level spells (i am stuck on conjure flame atronahc for a long time), presumably because of my low level.
Similarly, I am not able buy/craft higher level armor and weapons, although I have plenty of cash and even some raw materials needed.
I feel like I am just stuck with mediocre stuffs and spells for too long. Nobody else has any thoughts on this?
I guess I need to wait for mods to add more craftable stuff and armours?

rawr smash is overrated, play rogue or mage, rogue/archer is really fun, sneaking around and slicing people up with a fairly decent animation is cool. I have also started playing a mage, casting spells itself isnt that like mindblowing, but conjuring ice , fire elementals and ressurecting the dead that is pretty awesomsauce.
Only really bullshit I have encountered so far is that it is literally impossible to enchant some enchants simply because you haven't found an item(which is random) of X yet, (eg. of destruction or of conjuration etc).

It seems that the random quests that they give you can bug out. I was given one to change the ledger at an inn, but the quest arrow was pointing into a wall and the real ledger wasn't even active for the quest. You can always go back to the quest giver to give up and get a new one!
