That's not true. I recently returned my copy because I couldn't get past making a character without clicking 5-7 times on this and that with little to no response from the UI. I'm just glad I was able to return the game and save 60$ and ~100 hours of clicking through my inventory. I may be giving the game a hard time, but I think if I am paying 60$ for a game it better have a certain feel that flows seamlessly. I don't like spending 10-15 seconds clicking on one gold piece here or there not at this price. This UI is also one that seems very very old. Just my two cents about the value of having an excellent UI.

You managed to return a game that requires Steam activation? That's...interesting, or is it somehow different in the US? Unless you're referring to a console version which works fine (well, ui wise at least) which wouldn't involve clicking anywhere. That or you're referring to a pirate version which does have ui issues?

Never do, unless they are well written and actually do their job (hard to find). I can't drop money on everything that comes out just to see if it's my fancy.

Huh? I don't know I returned it to my local walmart, where I buy all my games because they always accept returns as long as it's quick. I don't know what they do with the used copies. Want me to check?

I agree with the quoted poster, it's a waste not playing this game because of the admittedly amateurish attempt at a functional UI.
Yeah it's a pain sometimes, but who the hell cares, the game's that good.

Does anyone know how much magicka do you need to dual cast stoneflesh/ironflesh/ebonyflesh?

A crapload, and all it does is increase the duration, doesn't increase the armor.

Has anyone tried an exclusively werewolf character? I was thinking what it'd be like to roll a character that fought entirely in beast mode.
+ Show Spoiler [WW Related Spoilers] +Basically you'd join the companions right away, become a WW, then go get the ring from Falkreath so you can transform constantly and use that for the rest of the game.
+ Show Spoiler [the build] + Race: Not sure any race has a real advantage here since you lose all racials when you transform. Nords, Orcs, or Dark Elves would have the best racial abilities probably. Gear: -Ring of Hicene (obviously) -Robes/helm/etc that offer -100% to alteration magic cost. -Rest of the gear does not matter.
Stats: 3:2 or 2:1 in HP/Stamina. 0 Points in magicka.
Runestone: Lord for the damage resist.
Skill/Talents: One Handed: 1/5 Armsman, but up to Dual Savagery (which is rumored to apply to WW attacks). Light Armor: Apparently LA skills boost your armor in Beast Mode, but it's not clear which ones apply. Grab them all just to be safe (or figure it out). Alchemy: Alchemy to give you potions to boost your survivability while in Beast Mode. Also grab Snakeblood for poison resist. Enchanting: 5/5 enchanting, insightful enchanter, and double enchanting for the alteration gear you need to get free alteration spells keeping in mind your ring slot is occupied. Alteration: You have 0 cost spells, but you want Dual casting, Mage Armor, Magic Resistance, and Stability for survivability and so your spells last well into beast mode. (Just be careful of transforming with the spell in both hands as this causes a bug I think). (Optional) Restoration: Avoid Death (pretty much just because you have extra points) Rest of your perks should just be dumped into stuff like pickpocketing, speech, and the other non-combat skills.
Shouts: Kayne's Peace, Dismay, Slow time - Use for transforming without taking tons of damage Elemental Fury - If it works in WW form use it for tough fights.
Restrictions: So the restrictions would be... -No weapons (outside of skilling up which you should do vs the beginning quest NPC or something) -No spells outside of alteration beyond skilling up (you could even skip alteration, but I think some encounters would prove incredibly difficult) -No conjured pets -All combat done as a WW for better or worse. -Master difficulty of course!

How much is a crapload? And how much does the duration increases? I hate having to recast it every minute.

i got the perk was like whatever that's stupid and reloaded my save
most battles don't last more than 60 seconds anyway

On November 30 2011 06:28 LagT_T wrote: Does anyone know how much magicka do you need to dual cast stoneflesh/ironflesh/ebonyflesh? Base cost:
Ebonyflesh 300x2 Ironflesh 235x2 Stoneflesh 171x2 Oakflesh 91x2
You have a reduced cost depending on our alteration level (33% at lvl 100).
Basically, you'll need some magicka cost reduction. It's possible to have 100% reduction with enchanted items (amulet, ring, robe, headgear with 25% reduction). Skill Perks reduces the cost by half.

So any of those mods fix UI? Or is there anyone making a real UI mod for this game?

Can you combine these armor spells with full armor suit? Do they stack for more armor?
|
Hey guys, my PC can't run skyrim, and I don't exactly feel like shelling out $60 for a game like this on the console. I understand everybody loved Morrowind, think I should go out and play it? Or wait for the price to go down a bit and get Skyrim for the Xbox or something.

If you dig exploring and stuff, the amount of content you can pull out of this game is worth like a thousand bucks. It's an incredible amount of play-time. Definitely worth it.

Morrowind is fucking amazing but it's from 2002. You should watch videos on youtube and ask yourself if you can enjoy the older graphics first. If you don't mind the looks- you'll find it a much more rewarding and entertaining game than Oblivion and at times even Skyrim.
