the only things that gave me any sort of difficulty were one or two 'boss' type things that used magic and like 3 shot me before i even got close. but only ever died once to each respectively, before i shat on them moments after.
i wish there were difficult mobs/dungeons, everything was a breeze.
i think i focused on smithing/enchanting way too early rofl, became "imba" in comparison to everything early on, so guess it just felt like a rollover.
If you do that thing where mana costs nothing and everything is super good, ofc it's going to be easy. Bethesda lets you do that cause Bethesda lets you do everything, but it's fairly obvious that it's not how they intended for you to play the game.
no, i strayed away from magic very very early
seemed to cost too much mana to kill anything, so i switched to 1 handed weapons + shield/heavy armor
stayed that way the entire rest of my play, and killed everything preeeeeeeeetty easily
but in my quest to get well enchanted/upgraded gear, i found myself having maxed smithing, enchanting, alchemy, heavy armor, one handed, and pretty proficient at most other skills, causing huge spike in levels lol
like the guy above just hitting 40 after 94 hours, i was level 41 at 27 hours o_o
Has anyone else found that they got hit with arrows from the front even when they put up their shield? I have the deflection perk and for some reason, I got killed by arrows fired by 2 hunters standing directly in front of me in third person view. Of course, I tried it again in first person view and the arrows bounced off harmlessly... but I hate playing in first person.
My first char was a pure conjuration/resto with a little destro mage. Was tough as hell. However once you get the double thralls you can basically go AFK in combat and win.
The nice thing about conjur is you can keep skills like 1h/2h/archery up with bound weapons while also lvling conjuration.
Is there any way to remove an enchant from a weapon/overwrite it with a new one? I enchanted my weapon with something useless and I want to change it now :/
I think my destruction magic is bugged. I have the perk to have destruction apprentice magic cost half magicka but my firebolt spell costs 16 to cast. Its base cost is 15 on the screen describing the magic :/

I found that the game is more realistic than typical games because the arrow has to actually hit the shield to be deflected. If their arrow hits your feet, for example, you aren't going to auto-deflect it with your shield. So it shouldn't matter if you're in 3rd or 1st person, what matters is if it hits your shield or not.

The base cost it shows already reflects any magicka reductions. You can't see the "real" cost if you have any reductions on, only the reduced cost.
And it might cost 16 because Skyrim doesn't show decimal places.
Man I must be retarded or something, I just now figured out, with a 100hour lvl 53 character, that the combinations to those claw-locks are written on the bottom of the claws themselves, i must have opened at least 5 by going through all possible combos sequentially.
Also the fact that Dragur Deathlords do ~300 damage an arrow on normal difficulty at my level is stupid, as a mage I only have 300 points of health.

the giant demolishes the dragon with 3 hits
I had something similar with mammoths, the dragon near Whiterun got owned by them xD

Don't worry about it dude, chances are really good you'll find a better weapon really soon, or gain the skills to create ie and enchant it yourself. You find awesome weapons everywhere (usually at the end of quests).
Awesome. After having had lots of trouble getting the pieces for my new Skyrim-computer delivered, it now turns out the powersource and possibly the motherboard are nonfunctioning. This means at least two more weeks of waiting once I've turned it back in to the firm I bought it from.

Draugr deathlords don't do that much damage to me on adept...I've got high light armor skill and had a leather armor chestpiece with an armor rating of 105 though...still, just froze them with ice form and hacked them to death.
