So there I was, just chillin' mid daylight in the Whiterun marketplace when I see this sweat little ol' lady Lillith Maiden-loom. Being the devious bastard that I am, I decided I'd try and take advantage of this poor old lady. I sneak up behind her and go to pickpocket her coin purse but then the bitch turns around and pulls a knife on me. Seriously? It'd be one thing if a guard caught me and gave me some punishment for taking advantage of this defenseless woman, but no, Grandma is fucking packing. I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure that my gram grams never carries around a knife when she goes to the market. SHIT IS ROUGH.

I do have "blood on the ice" though nvm figured it out. apparently I had dropped all the "beware the butcher" flyers and only had the butcher's journal. if you get stuck like i did make sure you pick those up from Hjerim, along with the strange amulet hidden under the fliers.

Btw, the first attempt was just random shit to learn the game. The second was my sniping archer sneak Kaijet and the third was a pure dagger sneak Kaijet Any help? I'th thinking about mage but it seems so squishy? aNd how would I do that anyways?

If the game gets too hard decrease the difficulty since you'll be overleveled from where you should be. Fun is all relative though so it's really whatever you want to do. There are shield spells that you use in place of armor basically, although between conjuration and destruction you should be able to kill pretty much anything before it becomes a problem. You should head over to the college as soon as possible if you intend to be a mage.

If you level up in sneak at first then your enemies become stronger and you stay about the same, so it's better to work on 1 or 2 handed plus destruction and armor in the early levels. That and put early points into health since bandit chiefs hit hard.

That and put early points into health since bandit chiefs hit hard. The leveling system in TES games has always been really awful to be completely honest. In previous games the best way to build your character was to select the skills you aren't using so that you can get maximum stat gains more easily ^_^ They have circumvented this by making all skills level you up now and completely gotten rid of the old attributes/level up bonus system, but introduced a whole new beast entirely. Hybrid characters are much weaker than their pure counterparts due to this, but they don't make the game impossible. In Oblivion, it was nearly impossible to play a max difficulty game and not "cheat" the leveling system. In fact, the game was a lot easier if you never bothered sleeping in the first place and just stayed level 1 the entire game ^_^ This seems to be fixed by the new dungeon generation in Skyrim and the fact that perks are incredibly powerful, but it's too early to do anything besides guess on that matter.

+ Show Spoiler + Is there a downside to killing the mage in "seeing the unseen" after you finish the quest and he says he's gonna go back to cyrodil and report that your college has something powerful you're not telling them about?

He said was saying he'd report the fact the mage college has something, and I was like "bitch please, imma be archmage and can't have you messin stuff up" so I killed him right then. I never saw anything bad happen because of it.

I get there and two freaking dragons swoop down on me, fortunately I had Lydia with me, so we kill one dragon and I trip with a freaking coffin, I'm standing there thinking "keep casting and kill that damn dragon, what's this coffin doing here in the middle of nowhere anyway?" and then a freaking skeleton rises from the coffin. I had met Morokei before and took me like 2 hours to take him down, so I just think "well this is just great, fighting a dragon and a dragon priest at the same time, fuck me." So I keep running in circles trying to take the dragon down first, while avoiding nuclear blasts from this anorexic skeleton priest, mind you, he has a staff so he doesn't OOM. I take the dragon down, see a chest which peaks my curiosity and I pick the lock to look inside, amazingly I find a freaking ELVEN BOW! So I said to myself "not gonna loose this, if I reload and avoid the priest I wont get this awesome piece of equipment, and I'm not gonna run, I'm no coward" I send lydia in to tank the fireballs but then my horse (5th one btw) charges this guy, I thought he'd die as soon as the first spell hit him, I had accepted Valandil's horse #5 death already, but he freaking tanks the fireballs and I manage to take out the nuclear strike-shooting skeleton! I'm so happy now with my new mask, a nuclear staff, three new words of power that shout insults at dragons, two extra souls and a shiny bow. Downside I only had one healing potion left after that.
