I'm playing a magic class. is smithing worth the time? should i be trying to level up enchanting? Or will i just find better gear as I progress (already got arch mage robes) Sorry for all the questions. New to the series.
You should do smithing if you think it's worth the skill points you spend. Smithing levels so ridiculously fast if you just make some iron daggers. I leveled my smithing from 20 (default for nord) to 49 today using maybe half an hour? Dunno exactly how much time, but it was fast!
Enchant the daggers you make as well, and you'll make some money too :D

Well I liked very much the DB one. Only downside to it, it wasn't sinister enough. At times I thought it was a Paladins guild wtf.

If you're worried about being a criminal for killing a random orc, and if any orc will do... somewhere on the road north of Riften I can across an orc that had come to that place looking for a "noble death." He wants you to fight and kill him. Go get em, champ.

No chance to fail unless you blunder around with a 2hander, no convoluted plots, no sinister atmosphere and the 'twists' were obvious. Just my opinion when compared to Morrowind.

All the 'guild' questlines seem rather short and whatever. At least, as far as the companions, thieves guild and mages guilds go. Not sure about the rest.
The fun seems to be in finding those random ruines and caves that have built in stories via the notes that are left laying around.

I'm so DAMN fed up with the mouse sensitivity. I move the mouse an inch upwards and I hit the sky, I move it an inch to the left or right I move an inch like I should. HOW THE HECK to I normalize the vertical sensitivity? It's like it's 5 or 6x GREATER than the horizontal sensitivity (or designed for 4:3 monitors!!!!) Honestly. i've played 50 hours and now i'm finally FED UP. I found an INI file setting.
fMouseHeadingYScale=0.0100 fMouseHeadingXScale=0.0100
I changed them so that they were both the same, like above, and the change stuck. the mouse worked as it should, like every other damn game out there. UNTIL i hit a minor cutscene (bout 30 seconds) and it was back to normal. HOW DO I FIX this blatant console port controls? It seems liek the INI command gets overidden every damn cutscene. I'm tired of trying to turn, not doing a perfect straight line, and hitting the sky, because i moved it 1/5th an inch vertically.

does joining 1 guild lock you out from others in any way? or can i just do anything
|
im lvl 30 and there are still things that own me hard, in the other TES games i would be invincible by now, even when holding back by roleplaying. Melee combat still not boring.
Gonna do a mage next that gets corrupted with thirst for power somewhere along the way.
though i could do without cinemtic finishers for every single wolf i kill.

Two question for those who finished Mage guild quest: 1. Do I get some nice robes for example like in Thieves guild armor set? 2. If I finish the quest line, will I be locked out of other guilds? I need my fence, too much stolen shit to sell

you can join every guild.
I strongly advice everybody to do the Meridia daedra quest. You get the sword Dawnbreaker as a reward and it is simply awesome when you fight undeads because they will explode like 50% of the time when they die and damage every enemy around them in a huge radius.

I think I ran out of obvious quests. Time to trawl everything from one side of the map to the other. Plus, I still need 9 dragon souls >_> Map is really big tho, even by my standards. It's going to swallow up a lot of time.

Am I the only one whos playing this thinking, "wow this was made for a console first, then ported to pc!"

I dont know why you steal stuff for money, theres so little use for it and all you need is to craft some gold/silver jewelry if you need money.

What a beautiful world. What creepy monsters. What a crappy menu.
Also I named myself Bisu. Is there a place in Skyrim that I can go and win 3 OSLs?

To add to my problem. It seems like it's intermittent. Like in dungeons randomly my vertical sensitivity will be huge!. But after a bit, after the fix, it seems like it randomly goes back to the .INI. It seems like random scripts are loading new sensitivity, and then randomly it loads the settings I have. It's so damn annoying. Googling the problem showed that lots of people have this problem, and lots of people have it the opposite way (vertical really low) but it comes down too everyone, in dungeons, having it shutter on and off intermittently.

My quest log is currently comprised of:
- 2 repeatable quests. - 2 bugged quests that I finished but won't go away. - 1 quest to gather herbs in a basement. - 1 quest that would probably require me to go in every possible dungeon and house in the game to complete.
I feel like there should be some more that I've missed since I have a portion of my map with literally nothing on it.
To be honest, questing is getting a bit silly, nothing can harm me any more, even with the level scaling that's going on. My gear isn't enchanted either, or I'd be even more indestructible.
