someone said there are many invulnerable "important" npcs,, which sucks, but maybe their invulnerability can be modded out
Yeah I wanted to murder all the thief guild since I'm playing a noble nord that doesn't tolerate naughty thieves but turns out they all turn invulnerable in their 'last stand' mode then go back to full HP.
Probably rerolling tomorrow. My melee assassin gets boring. You literally oneshot everything, even for bosses in dungeons you hit them once then they have like 30% hp left. The way I fight is not satisfying. I sneak up on things, hit them once, and they either die immediately, or I have to slash at them like a madman until they die. This is not exactly fun since slashing daggers doesn't really feel badass...
On the other hand, scripted events or something like dragons where you can't sneak up on them are pretty stupid. You just stand there, wait a minute until they come down, slash at them for a minute, they fly away again, you repeat this 2 times and they're dead.
Should've gone for a 2H melee on my first playthrough.
question is, reroll to what? I'm probably gonna try out magic.
Also I'm level 31 and I still haven't done the greybeard meeting haha. And I haven't even BEEN to 2 of the main cities...and about 3/4 of the entire map is unexplored/ uncleared. FUcking crazy...I feel like there is SO much adventure to be had in this game. Some of the dungeons are just insanely big. Feels so good that they made a game in 2011 which feels like it was level-designed in 1999.

I promptly set out into the hills and started looking into everything I could stick my head into. I'm level 10 or so (this weekend was occupied) and have just been exploring the area between the southern limit of the map and Riverwood. I can't believe how much stuff there is to find!
Oh god...Trust me when I say: What you've done is take a handful of water out of a pool. I spent the whole weekend playing (Level 27 Orc - Full Orcish set) and I've JUST tried keeping my quest log down but it seems that wherever I go I a bazillion quests just seem to find me... seriously.... I'm not even looking for quests/visiting the "main" cities and my quest log is ridiculous. And I love it...
Hahaha...seriously dude...I am literally AFRAID of going to new settlements...because of the bombardment of awesome new quests and pleas for help from the populace. I have actually avoided about 10 farms/ steads/ towns because of this fear . My quest list is already about 15 quests that I really want to finish o.O

Pure Mage? Or Warrior/Shield heavy armor?
God damnit, I can't decide!
Which were you before??
I have a 22 pure stealth character.
Just, some of the spells I'm hearing about sound pure sex. However, bashing through shit with a shield/mace would be amazing...
Ahh...either way will be SO satisfying to you hahaha. Being able to just run blindly at the enemy and hit them over the head with a mace that ignores their armour...without having to worry about stealth...sounds fucking godly. Then again magic is more varied as you go along, as long as you don't just go straightforward destruction...tough one I guess o.O. I personally think warrior...because that is the complete opposite of stealth character. Whereas mage is kind of in between.

How can you not like your rogue? T_T I find it extremely fun with 100 pickpocketing+naked mod. I robbed poor Lydia off her clothes and I am now strolling around like a pimp with her following me butt naked.

Uh... ramp up the difficulty? Not that hard.. also you're obviously very low level judging by what you've said.. just wait, it gets harder.

Mind if I ask what difficulty level you are playing on? I was watching JP McDaniel play last night and he was steamrolling through everything on Master with a dual-wielding melee character (3 hits taking down dragons and giants etc). Looks kinda boring since that is the highest difficulty level. :/
I need to talk to Captain Aldis, apparently in Solitude, to find out information about a woman named Angerlina's daughter. Thing is, I get to where is says he is and he's beneath the floor it seems and there is no way to get to where it says he is. In case it was just a "this area" marker I've explored everywhere and found no trace of him. Does anyone know if I'm missing something (or the character code so I can prid command him to me)?
I'm worried that since I completed the civil war in favour of the Storm Cloak's, maybe he's meant to be unavailable now?
I started today with just two quests in mind
Red Eagle and Cannibal-one
both locations were close by eachother, they were not that big areas or that big quests. Neither do they have anything to do with the main quest ( I think both were Misc - quests ). Time from Markrath to the moment Red Eagle falls? about 12 hours playtime. I wonder how many writers it took to make all this.
Just riding out on my horse looking to finish up that one quest. Hey! A village! Sure, I'll kill the spiders in your mine. What? You need me to get something to your parents? Fine. Hey, a cave, let's explore. That old ruin sure looks interesting. Wow, a dragon! Another village! Yeah sure, I'll clear the haunted tomb, gather iron ore, kill the mountain bears, the dragon at the tower, the trolls in the forests, I'll deliver that package to the other side of the map... What was I doing again?
I hate it when that happens.
On another note, anyone else collecting all books you find and stuffing your bookshelves full with them?
Far too much killing involved, felt more like the Dark Brotherhood, especially compared to Oblivions and Morrowinds Guild quests where you weren't allowed to kill anyone. So far I've been disappointed with all the 'big' questlines to be honest .

Yeah I got like 5 guys supplies swords and rings and books and whatnot. Maybe I wasn't the best choice of a courier they could pick.
