- Inventory should be something like diablo, that you can see your bag, and slots for gear, not wall of text that you scroll down for 10 minutes to find what you want - Potions should be categorized, because my mage with almost 100 alchemy got like 300+ pots 60-70 types... really annoying to search - Companions IQ and pathing greatly improved, because now their are lost all the time and almost nothing in fights - Leveling system is bad, you dont get (or you get almost nothing) experience for doing quests... f.e you can make 10 quests and you wont level, but you can smith 20 iron daggers and your level up - Some professions are way to easy to level up, 100 smithing can be done in few hours, 100 enchanting after 40+ (im 89 after 40h and I focus a lot on enchanting)
Anyways great game, definitely my game of the year
BTW: Anyone did Shalidor's Insights quest, Im stuck pretty big there, there are 2 doors to this sanctuary, 1st door requires key, 2nd is opened from other side... on the outdoor there is a pit of some kind but it cant be opened too...
Agree about the inventory...it's heavily console-ized and kind of clunky on the PC.
However, the leveling system is phenomenal. I'm not sure which quests you are doing where you can do 10 and not level, because pretty much any action in the game can level up a skill. If you're just talking or ferrying items from place to place, should you really gain an experience level from that? What about clearing a huge dungeon of Draugr or crafting a bunch of armor or making a bunch of potions?
I level a bunch from Alchemy/Sneak/Lockpicking and as a result my Destruction skill has suffered a bit, but I'm still able to clear dungeons with a little bit of creativity. If I had focused purely on being a Mage I would probably destroy everything and it would still be fun, but with less variety.
I really like the flexibility the leveling system gives you.

Can someone explain me without spoilers what I can use Artonauch (or whatever) Forge, which is located in The Midden, for?

Hmmm, I'm kinda curious as to what kind of dragon im looking at right now its tail at the end looks like a leaf. IDK if I can take it or not on my own. I can kill regular dragons but the one blood dragon I was attacked by I just couldnt kill I needed to run away really fast. ANd luckily the AI got tired of chasing me :D

Can anyone tell me how the whole enchanting with Soul gems works and how do i Capture their souls? I knew how to do it in oblivion but here I am at a loss, I have the Blade of Woe which needs to be recharged and it would be convinet to know how to work soul gems in skyrim

Hi, Im gonna start to play tomorrow, on a Pc, and one question.
What would it better to play, mouse + keyboard or xbox 360 controller? I was gonna play with mouse and keyboard but then I saw posts about how it is so made for consoles maybe it would be better...
Thanks guys!

You need the Soul Trap spell in the Conjuration school. If you cast it on an enemy and then kill it within 60 seconds, you trap the soul in one of your empty gems. You can then use the filled soul gems to either recharge your gear (by pressing T while selecting it in your inventory) or enchant new items.
Haven't really used a weapon yet that drains souls, not sure if it's feasible to only use that to recharge itself or if you'll have to supplement it with Soul Trap.

Ok so apparently ... it was a blood dragon a friendly giant, sabre cat bear and mudcrab decided to help me. Once they aggroed on the dragon I kept arrowing it with poisons to make it weak to magic, hit the giant once and then flamed them both to death. Then killed the sabrecat :/
This game's AI is brilliant lol

Can you find Daedric/Dragonplate armor through questing and random loot chests? I would like to get a set but I don't know If i can spare 6 perks in smithing.

I play on PC w/ my 360 controller. Works really well. Haven't missed not using mouse and keyboard at all. I'd say it's the best of both worlds. I get the relaxed feel while playing w/ a controller and I get the joy of mods because it's PC.

I'm 60+ hours in, level 40, and I've only just found my first Daedric piece looting a chest where a dragon was.

In order:
I don't know what that forge is used for, haven't found it yet.
Dragon with a leaf-tail are blood dragons, I think. Beware, they aren't the worst yet. They just have a bit more health, deal a bit more damage and drain your stamina when near you. There's also elder dragons and ancient dragons, that still destroy me at level 37 in dragon armour.
Enchanting with soul gems; you need an item to enchant, an enchantment and a soul gem that's filled. Items to enchant can be anything you equip that isn't enchanted already, like a ring, sword or shield. The enchantments you get by disenchanting an item with the the enchantment you want at an enchanting table. E.g. you disenchant a robe with an enchantment that increases magicka regen, you'll be able to create things that increase magicka regen. Soul gems you can find around the world.
There's two types of soul gems; black soul gems and normal soul gems or "pure" soul gems. Black soul gems can only contain human souls, pure soul gems can't contain human souls. Black soul gems are the same "charge" as grand soul gems. You can find black soul gems in Necromancer hideouts. Normal soul gems are found near normal mages and can often be bought.
To catch a soul, you'll need a weapon enchanted for soul-binding or the spell soul trap. Soul trap is a conjuration spell, costs 94 magicka so anyone can use it. You can probably find it at the College of Winterhold if you ask around and find the right people that sell things. Weapons enchanted with soul-binding will clearly state so as their enchantment and their name. You simply either kill someone with the weapon enchanted with soul binding or cast soul trap on them and kill them within 60 seconds, their soul occupies the appropiate soul gem. The bigger the soul gem, the more charge it gives.
Once you have a soul gem with a trapped soul, it'll be indicated in your inventory with the soul size e.g.; petty soul gem (petty). You can use them from your inventory and recharge your enchanted weapon.
And as for Matkap; it's not that bad, really. I prefer keyboard/mouse, but you can choose whatever. There's no better choice, just one you like better

Is there a console command to reset perks?

A pretty big spoiler for a side quest ahead where you get drunk.
+ Show Spoiler +There's this man that appears in inns ( I believe he appears in any inn at any great city since I found him at whiterun and my friend found him at windheld/winterhold dont know which one) that challenges you to a drinking game, accept the drinking game and you'll pass out in the end. You wake up in Markath at the other side of the world. From there you have to retrace alot of your steps it's pretty straightforward. At the end you find the man that you got into the drinking game with and turns out he's a daedric prince. He will give a daedric artifact.

I'm just pumping HP right now because I don't give a fuck about magicka and stamina's not really too much of a problem. You better buy it -_-. You'll need stamina, the power attacks do alot for me with the same setup, dual wield swords. Breaking an enemies guard, doing insane damage (50-100% of their hp) but i cant pull them off after ive charged in and released one, as i have no stam. I promise.
Doesn't it just use all your stamina when you break the guard? It's like, even when you only have 10 stamina or something, you can still power attack and do your insane damage. I don't see what the purpose of me having extra stamina is when it isn't the numerical value that matters, rather than the percentage you have.
Also, can I download that texture pack (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=174) even if I'm using a pirated version with medium setting graphics on my Macbook Pro? :/

Usually you have to put the extracted file into your skyrim game folder. Not in any submap. It's: program files (x64/x86) -> steam -> steamapps -> common -> skyrim. Put it in there and see if it works, if it doesn't reread the how to carefully. Also deleting the file/taking it out is always possible so don't be afraid to experiment, you can't break your game as long as you don't remove or change any standard files. Which you should always back up if you do change them.

It is numerical not based on percentage. Ofcourse it would be like this, otherwise it'd be usless to invest into stamina. Also you're asking advice on how to mod your pirated version of the game? I mean seriously?

also for pc users, has anyone been able to run the game smoothly? my specs are as follows: intel i7 2630qm 2.0ghz gtx 560m 12gb ddr3 ram
and yes, before you ask, there's nothing wrong with my computer and my drivers are up to date. ive checked the skyrim forums, and a LOT of ppl are complaining about dropping frames and huge issues. they've recommended turning off vsync and lowering shadows and shit, but all the tinkering around ive done, doesnt really work (unless i put everything on low, which i refuse to do since i should easily be able to run this on ultra).
