In the book that you get as a guide for buying furniture for your home it says that the "Steward" is the one to talk too to purchase furniture. My guess was that the Steward is the same guy that sold me the house.
But when I talk to him nothing about housing comes up in the dialogue. So I wonder if this is the right guy or if I'm doing something wrong. Please help a Nord without furniture!
Yes it's the guy who sold you the house. You may have to scroll down the dialogue to see the option.

crank out slow poisons, ingredients are really cheap and not useful for making anything other than slow poisons
as long as you make the right types of potions, you can buy up all the cheap ingredients in the store and sell the potions back for a profit
smithing seems to always result in a net loss

+ Show Spoiler +The actual option is called something like "decorate my house" but as alypse said, it is the same guy.

Mind telling the ingredients for which potions you generally make for profit?

Does anyone know if there is a Skyrim equivalent, or at least something similar to the vaults in Vivec from Morrowind?
|
Does anyone know how long the 2 main quests are, and whether you can continue doing stuff after completing them?

hmm. I was getting good fps yesterday, now as of this morning I have started to get some stuttering , very odd.
Did they patch skyrim over night?
I'm also trying to figure out where I can store all my books I've gathered. I want to eventually screenshot them all and transcribe them.

Now, after about 20 hours of weekend-nerding, I'm totally blown away. The level of detail (I don't mean graphics by that ), the landscapes, the soundtrack, the atmosphere created by the latter 2, the casting system with 2 spells at once, the npcs, and I could go on and on. And I didn't have a single bug turn up yet and my system that is supposed to be able to run medium settings at most is defying logic and running at high settings (it even defaulted to that) with constant 30-35 fps according to fraps' counter. 47 euros is a steal for this. The only "bad" thing about it is that next friday, Super Mario 3d Land AND Zelda: Skyward Sword come out, too. 3 best games of the year (now that d3 got pushed to '12) for me within 1 week, talk about a busy schedule!

I've been playing this game on max difficulty as an illusion/alteration/restoration/one-hand and up till now i had Lyndia as a follower to tank for me, but she has just died. Having a tank follower is crucial to my character and i was wondering if anyone could tell me where to find another tank hireling at, it would really help!

Anyone got a FAQ for this quest?

This game is sooo... HUGE. It almost feels a little bit too huge. I've been playing for about 23 hours (18 hours on steam right now, but I played about 5 or 6 hours this thursday when the game unlocked which didn't count toward the time), and when I look at the map, I've seen maybe 40% of the entire map. On top of that, I ran past half of that, meaning I really only experienced like 20% of the map! Plus, I have done very very few quests from inside cities or sidequests in general. Also, I've only played one playstyle! I haven't even touched magic, archery and brawly combat yet.
After 23 hours, it really feels like I've seen maybe 5% of the content that is in the game. I actually stop playing from time to time because I don't know what else to do (because I have so many overwhelming choices).

XD you killed her afaik lyndia cannot die unless you kill her , although this may change on difficulty being max, as far as tanks that makes her the best for your build http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Followers

I already have full Dragonbone set on both my character and follower, both sets upgraded to Legendary as well. :d
Also the "level scaling" or whatever it's called these days still pisses me off at times, I completely destroy dragons now but died to a single bandit highwaymans lightning spells in just couple seconds...
Luckily my friend accidentally figured out how to hotkey spells/items to 1-9 so thats one less complaint about this game.

It really shouldn't be so obscure, yet for some reason they thought this was okay ie put the item in your fav menu open fav menu select item hit numbers 1-8 to bind.

I found a book on that!
Fire. Lots and lots of fire. I suggest learning the fire shout sooner rather than later if you arent a magic user. Also get resist frost potions or eat a lot of I think its tundraflower? Tundraflower gives you resist frost as a temp status iirc.

Just had the worst random dragon encounter. I was in the middle of one of the early thieves guild quests where + Show Spoiler +you have to burn down 3 of those guys beehives.... a dragon appears while im burning the hives, flies down and incinerates them all had to reload.
Im like 20 hours in right now, still just playing the way it feels natural for me(focusing on Sneak/archery then 1h/block/light armor) and really loving it. I also like alchemy alot.... especially cuz i get to catch butterflies! Is there a better way to find potion recipes and stuff other than just eating the ingredients(without looking them up online)? I also still have like half my talent points saved up because I don't wanna put them in the wrong thing

Thieves guild. So I heard you like money. [quest line spoiled] + Show Spoiler +godam in the last part of this story line you get the infamous skeleton key which is basically an indestructible lockpick but but but you have to return it to some shrine to complete the quest. I said the fuck with that and kept it, at least until I maximize lockpicking which is very easy atm. You guys kept it or not?
