[quest line spoiled] + Show Spoiler +godam in the last part of this story line you get the infamous skeleton key which is basically an indestructible lockpick but but but you have to return it to some shrine to complete the quest. I said the fuck with that and kept it, at least until I maximize lockpicking which is very easy atm. You guys kept it or not?
Didnt keep it because you get imba buffs when you give it back and lockpicks are not really a problem when you can buy 30 each day in the thiefsguild. And if you want you can just learn the perk that gives you indistructible lockpicks

Hehe cheers mate. Well that's actually the case. I'm a 2H warrior called Conan, he is fucking awesome. But these ice wraith made him look like a wuss - Good thing my second shout was the sort of firebreath shout (awesome btw). I guess i must have this ice resist potion or i should go werefwolf fury next time ^^ I'm in the companions :D

how do I start the Windhelm butcher murder quest? + Show Spoiler [minor spoiler] +i read that Suzanna the Wicked has to be murdered in the cemetery for it to start, but several people have waited a long time and she doesn't die heh

So I might have a problem.
I went to Solitude on my way to somewhere, and there was this guy about to get UNFAIRLY executed (which seems to be a habit for the Imperials -_-). I wouldn't stand for this so I interrupted the execution, killed the Captain, and ran the guards around for a bit until the prisoner escaped, then I escaped also.
I was never offered to pay any bounty though (I do have the money). So now I'm worried if I'll need to do any of the main quest line quests in Solitude, and if so is there a way to get them to charge me money instead of charging... straight at me.
Or do I need to reload and watch innocent people getting their heads chopped off.

It still fucks me over, i can't figure out how to make it bind to left or right all it does is select the item so sometimes i want my sheild to stay but it takes it away and i'm like toidfjasoidf

I'm 25 hours in so not much beyond you, but really, you should go ahead and just put them in! I'm mostly a stealth archer that switches to destruction magic when they get within melee range and I'm finding it's letting me specialize in multiple trees without a problem. Don't let yourself play through the entire game without enjoying that part of it, it's really fun unlocking some of the unique skill options. I'm really looking forward to the later lock picking and pick pocketing stuff.

About this guy. When I first went to Solitude and saw the execution I also thought about stopping it, but i figured that would happen lol. What I did though was want to get a up close view of the blood spurt when his head was cut off so I went right up against the edge of the platform... to my surprise when his head rolled off and landed right next to me + Show Spoiler +there was a search option on it. He had a really sweet necklace(necklace of talos i believe) which reduces the CD on shouts by 20%. Thought it was pretty cool and would post this in case someone missed it.

Yea so far the only things I've even put points into is Sneak(so i could get up to the triple sneak dmg attack from bows) and pickpocketing to make it a bit easier. I think i also have one point in light armor lol just because it was the first point i got and i didn't know what i was doing. I think I want to put some points into the block tree... i really want some bashing shit, looks sweet.

As a pure mage should I be wearing cloth or light armor ? Also is smithing any good for a pure mage or should I only get enchanting ?
|
I am having such a hard time deciding what armor I want to wear.
+ Show Spoiler +The Nightingale armor is so badass with the benefits along with the improved thieves guild armor. I have made glass armor which is beast but I get none of the bonus effects yet.
So many points are required in enchanting before the enchants get strong I am not sure if I want to drop 8 points into it just to get beast enchants on gear I make.
I LOVE THIS GAME!
Done a few quest lines and haven't touch really any of main quest and I am already planning my 2nd character.

Their is benefits for you if you just wear cloth armor. I forget which perk it is but it makes your shield spells stronger if only wearing cloth.

If you want to use light armor then smithing is a nice way to go since u you eventually craft light Dragon armor. If not, then going with robes is also fine since there are armor spells in the Alteration tree that gives bonus armor and if you wear no armor there's a perk that 2x this armor bonus(and maybe 3x/4x at higher levels, since i didn't get this perk yet).

I love + Show Spoiler [Awesome Character From Lore] + and the quest reward associated with said awesome character! + Show Spoiler [Quest Reward Details] +I have The Wabbajack! :D For those who're unfamiliar, The Wabbajack is a staff belonging to the Daedric Prince of Madness which basically does *something* every time you use it. I've thus far turned a guard invisible, turned a random woman in to a dead ghost, exploded some guy, turned a Flame Atronoch in to a camp fire and an undead lich in to a "sultry maiden". I'm gonna have so much fun with that. This game is so awesome.
+ Show Spoiler [Unrelated story spoilers] +It occured to me, how many games is a full civil war a "side quest"? I have no idea how much of the game I've actually done now but it was just one of those "oh wow" moments I had wondering through the liberated Solitude.

Oh bummer. I actually only had to pay 80 gold (apparently I didn't kill the captain, oh well) so that's what I did.
Now Roggvir (the prisoner) is nowhere to be found. Ah well, I guess I'll give up the cute thing in the spoiler.
