No enemies don't scale in TES games.
Also, two handers I have found to be suffixed with war in the name. Warhammer, waraxe etc etc. But I might be wrong. They also look like they have really long shafts. Or super long blades.

Enemies dont scale in TES games? O.o Are you on crack?
2H'ers can be pretty much seen with the look of them, although ive been confused with a couple of them, the majority can be "seen" to be 2H.
Dunno how long in to my game atm but im level 19 and still dual wielding, it can be quite difficult at times and i struggle so much to keep stamina after a dual-power attack but its really quite powerful to dual wield, the power attack annihilates people and you can swing so fast they barely get a pop off lol.

ye, thats all i could seem to notice aswell. i just wondered if there was a sure way to just see, but its not a big deal.
this is my first oblivion game so it all seems overwhelming, ive barely started and im already getting side tracked with random quests, worried that i need to talk to every villager and learn about how to level a proper character D:
i made a nord guy and they are supposed to be all rounders i guess? and that suits my game style i think D: im just worried because in most rpgs if you dont specialize your character tends to suck at everything.

twohanders arent suffixed with "war", for example waraxes are onehanded. warhammer, greatsword, battleaxe are the games twohanders.

Somewhere in this thread someone explained nicely how the level scaling in Skyrim works. To try and repeat from a memory:
A random dungeon has a range of min-max level for the critters there. For example, take a cave that has a range of lvl 20-40.
If you enter this dungeon with a lvl 14 character, the enemies will be lvl 20.
If you enter this dungeon with a lvl 27 character, the enemies will be lvl 27. You can return later on with lvl 50 and they will still be lvl 27.
If you enter this dungeon with a lvl 50 character, the enemies will be lvl 40.

I'm going to buy the game tomorrow! Just a question: Does it affect the difficult of the game by alot if I choose a class that doesnt got the +X in some special talents? If I just pick a class after apperence and go for some talents that isnt improved with the class?

There are no classes :s, you select a race and that's it. You just use the skills you want to use and you level them in doing so.

lol, you guys are too worried.
With the new leveling system you can really do whatever. Only when you powerlevel lockpicking or something you might be quite weak in combat for a while, but what do you expect. The game is not scaling completely, so even if you did something very suboptimal, eventually you will level enough to be back on track, just takes longer.
There seems to be enouh content that you can focus on what is interesting to you. YOu dont need to do every little thing.
I am always roleplaying in the TES series, which means not powergaming and not always doing the optimal thing and i never had problems. In fact, playing that way for me is superior to pretending its diablo and powering trough it :D.

Oh yeah I meant races, I was looking around finding this: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Classes_(Skyrim)

I'm not sure if I understand you wrong but you can definitely NOT do whatever, I've played on expert from the beginning and there have been alot of moments where I just had to leave a cave or dungeon because I couldn't handle the enemies. And frost trolls screw you over too, not to mention giants and mammoths which you can only hope to take down when your level 20 atleast.

As long as you know what you're doing, you will be at a slight disadvantage though naturally.

Except you can just keep your distance from Giants/Mammoths. Trolls become super easy once you get the fire breath shout so you can burn them ^_^ Assuming you aren't a mage already...

My first Elder Scrolls was Morrowind. The beginning was basically like this: get your character set up, receive some papers for someone at a location you don't know and out you go. Have fun! I found it a lot more overwhelming than Oblivion or Skyrim, to be honest. In fact, it was so overwhelming that it took several years after that before I really got going.
I must say, Skyrim has that same addiction factor Morrowind has as well. If I'm not careful I'd play until 3 or 4 in the morning. Unlike Oblivion, Skyrim allows you to actually make a useful non-sneaky archer character. I never play as an archer in other games but for some reason I always do in TES games.

And the picture of the weapon in your inventory if left unchanged will show 1handers as straight and 2handers as slightly arched.

Yeah but there are alot of dungeons you can't go in either, there is this dungeon with vampires pretty close to the starters area and that just means imminent death if you go there straight away.
