Having good fundamentals helps. ME3 isnt a game you run around and get headshots with. Not on Insanity anyway. You have to play the tactics game since its more about territorial control of flanks and stuff. Neat combat mechanics.

Build a balanced squad. Remove defenses, then come out and control and terminate. Always be asking yourself "what happens if they chuck a grenade at my feet." Dont think that 1 unit by 1 unit pillbox is the ultimate cover.

When played right you dont really shoot very many bullets at all in either ME2 or ME3. With pretty much every class guns are a secondary means of taking on opponents. Your primary is your squadmates powers.

Because real men roll soldier. And all of the Spectre gear is amazing. Everything just melts to the HMWA VII (First playthrough with this character, otherwise I'd have the HMWA X.) Soldier Shepard + Tali + Liara = everything dead.

Engineer is by far the best single player class in the game though. Adept is also up there but nothing compares to engineer shields + overload + incinerate. You are pretty much covered against everything especially if you take warp ammo as your optional power, which you should. Then take Liara and Tali. There is another good squadmate but I cant remember who.

Its all about stacking anti defenses. If you are built right you dont even have to come out of cover to beat entire waves. Energy drain is also a good optional power, especially since there isnt Reave in ME3 at least as far as I can tell.

I pickup energy drain on every shepard that either has warp ammo or incinerate ammo. Incin ammo is also close in utility.

I played the epic troll route of going Sentinel/Bastion/Singularity with Kaidan/Liara => 3x Throw, 3x Lift, 3x Warp, 2x Singularity, 3x Stasis (Plus the ability to damage folks in Stasis thanks to Bastion), 2x Neural, plus maximum power damage/cooldown bonuses etc => we never even got attacked since everyone was flying all over the place, being frozen somewhere, or downright blown out of the map and instant killed. Combine all this with Marksman HMWP X's and High Explosive Rounds X, and you've got yourself an unloseable position against anything

Outside of using lift/throw every 20seconds or so (depending on talent levels and adrenaline burst usage), that's not really possible in me1. Biotics don't explode all over the place doing massive damage in me1. What they do is lock down rooms of enemies... so you can shoot them.

Haha, yeah ME1 combat was so wonky.

I think the infinite ammo and everything made the same gunshot sound was kinda bad.

Also being able to go full auto inside the Normandy >.>

I played through on Insanity as Infiltrator and it was a game where you run around and get headshots. Barely any tactics, was easier than CoD.

You can't one shot kill enemies with any sort of defense. Of course for some reason they made a LOT of undefended enemies in ME3 as opposed to ME2 Insanity where practically everyone had a secondary layer of defense.

Though i will admit if there is one class that can do it, its infiltrator, and sometimes soldier.

The game is waaaay more fun if you dont use sniper rifles though.

Guess I should ahve celebrated 6666 post count.

Yeah I've only played as soldier in multiplayer and it feels really bland, just pumping guys full of lead.
