Just a request from someone who doesn't have time to mine. Could you guys post up like periodic maps on the OP? I think'd it'd be sweet if you guys could have some form of documentation for the rest of us "muggles" :D.

edit: oops, found it on the OP. That thing looks sweet! I didn''t even know you could add more onto the map. They should introduce more weapons so that towns can go to war!

Server will be shutting down due to Minecraft.net issues. I can't afford to have my mods disconnect or relog and not be able to rejoin the server due to MCNet being down.

Will resume the server once MCNet problems are resolved.

You guys can follow Notch's blog or twitter for updated status on the auth server.

Yeah, looks like it came back up recently. However, it's past the time when the server usually shuts down anyway so I'm just gonna leave it off for the night just in case MCNet goes down again, since it's been up and down all day.

Too bad the Spleef Tournament thread is locked already.

I just wanted to say that the tournament was awesome. Sadly I couldn't stay until the finals, but it was a great event and the commentary / live stream was pretty fun.

In regards to the people asking not to have any more exploration, does that mean that if you hit the edge of the map, the map renders a larger portion, or do we just not need any more exploration of the land that we can see in the rendered map?

A lot of the TL staff plays Minecraft, actually. Maybe R1CH is one of them and he's already hard at work hunting down the DDoSers and preparing his virtual death drones to pillage and destroy all that they hold dear in this world.

Land is rendered as people see it, once it is created it is permanent.

Just don't go on massive voyages and increase the map size pointlessly.

I think serejai's map has a limit of 1000 blocks from spawn before it teleports you back to spawn point. So the map itself is limited in some way. It's a lot harder to walk one direction forever and actually be by yourself this time around.

I recently increased it to 1250 in each direction, so the total size of the map is 4,906,250 blocks currently, give or take a few. As you can see from the 3D map, that's plenty of space.

As an example, you could fit 12,265 spleef arenas on the map.

This doesn't even include the vertical building space.
