you say i knew it was a bug but i can tell you for a fact that no where and no one said anything about it being a bug. maybe it should have been obvious but its not obvious to a new player... | ||

alright, well i talked to others, and ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THEM told me it was a bug. TWO people said oh, you're just on creative mode, when i asked why i had infinite items. I dont get how i was suppose to know it was a bug if its not listed as a bug anywhere on the front page and the two people i talked to didnt even mention anything about it being a bug. yeah i stored an absurd amount of items but i would gladly get rid of all of them if you just asked and told me it was a bug... this was the first server ive ever played on, i just got this game last week. i dont know anything about it. i looked up some tutorials and saw you store stuff in crates so as crazy as it seems, i stored stuff in crates. i dont even know what everythings worth. you say i knew it was a bug but i can tell you for a fact that no where and no one said anything about it being a bug. maybe it should have been obvious but its not obvious to a new player... Superior argument. The OP does not list the server as being a survival multiplayer. Nor does it mention creative mode as a bug. It shouldn't be the client's duty when they register to realize their permissions have been enhanced. | ||

Allowing Jiggly back in could potentially set a terrible precedent where either a potentially bad precedent or a change in policy would be required- like a registration through TL rather than MC for instance. The obvious and more simple choice is to simply not let him back in. The fact is that Zaphod made the "safer" choice in this matter by laying down a ban. Maintaining the integrity of the server is vital to sustaining its community, in my opinion. Without integrity, it just wouldn't really be fun or interesting. Keeping the person in subject off the server would merely be a reflection of this. In all honesty, I'm not really sure what I would do if i were an admin/mod. So, I would just leave the status quo as is unless a higher power decided against it. edit: Maybe a mod should sentence him to a labor camp (Zaphod's mines* cough cough*) for a day or two as a probation-like period if he gets back in. | ||

Storing the items told me that you anticipated to lose creative and prepared for it. There is no way to you can convince me otherwise. It is too much effort to make 20+ chests and fill them with valuables for it not to be a planned attempt at cheating. Simple as that. On a related note, Sere should probably change to OP if the server update hasn't fixed the problem. | ||

i dont see how it would look better for the server admins to ban someone for a reason they dont have listed at all anywhere in this topic. thats like someone going to jail for violating a law that doesnt exist. | ||

I mean before that, you might wonder ask, "is this a creative server?" "no" then begin to milk it for all it's worth. It's not like 10,000 tnt was spawned and denoted on spawn (which wouldn't be that bad). 3rd party mods or software were not used. safeguards were not directly torn down nor bypassed, A person simply did what any reasonable person would do to expedite their empire. I could care less what happens, and JiggalyWiggaly is probably not a new player if he knew which blocks were 'rare' and which weren't. But why spawn big chests of diamond? To what end? To monopolize a non-existent economy, giving yourself the ability to trade for everything. You can spawn everything already, that's a waste of a step... Nothing malicious nor extraordinary was done. Simply next time have a better system for preventing item creation or duping. | ||

Here is your entire history on the server: Join server for the first time Immediately use /sethome command (first indication you knew what you were doing) Stockpile items in chests And here are the two defining points... a) Not only did you stockpile all the valuable items in chests less than 3 minutes after joining the server (incredibly short amount of time for you to read the entire wiki and browse through hundreds of blocks to figure out the valuable ones), but you also gave yourself an inventory full of them and spam threw them to other players. 2012-01-17 18:31:58 [INFO] [main]<deadrabbit1338> and he kept throwing them at me Coincidentally, deadrabbit1338 is also your friend. b) You keep saying you asked people why you had infinite items... and you even said the following in a PM you sent me After I registered, I still had everything but when I asked if this was a bug, some dude said I was just on creative mode. The problem is I went through the entire chat logs of the server and the only thing you ever said was that you were deadrabbit's friend. You never once asked about creative mode as you claim to have. | ||
