Ironically, I was just about set to push out 1.2 today or tomorrow. That being said, this new patch has a lot of pretty severe multiplayer issues. For example, beds crash the server. The new save format has also yet to be tested on a world as large as ours, as there are only about three other servers with a map this big. So there's really no telling how the performance is for larger worlds yet. Also, the new lighting seems to cause a lot of performance issues (even if you have it set to the old lighting).

Last but not least, the new save format means all plugins related to it are broken again. This includes pretty much all of our anti-grief plugins and zoning plugins (the ones I JUST finished updating for 1.2, and will now have to update them again for 1.3 -_-)

Why couldn't Notch just stay on vacation forever?

Oh, also, Nether no longer works anymore (just got that working in 1.2, also)

Lol mass nap-age DDoS. Instead of everyone actively trying to bring a server down, Notch made it possible for players to bring down servers through mass inactivity.

Also. Can we make naptime officially from 12pm - 2pm, or, right after lunch. Everyone is no longer obligated to mine or build things, but rather should be home under the comfort of their own beds.

How would beds work in multiplayer? since it'll turn to the next morning after sleeping (unless you turn that morning function off). Otherwise, still cool to have an actual bed, haha

I think you need like a giant new years count down ball, and at precisely midnight when the counter hits 0, all players must click a bed simultaneously. I think there's a slight like 2 second 'sleep time' delay any player with slow reflexes can hop in bed if they missed the message.

It's an all or nothing deal. 1 player, alone can't pass time in-bed.

Personally I'm a fan of: "Opening Large Chests will cause the crash of the game."

bed time changing thing will work if EVERONE on the map uses there beds together., as in once everyone is in the beds the time wil skip forward to day time.
also been testing the new redtone stuff very nice for making music not much else thro.
this is the latest gaunlent upgrade of the kill or be killed area =)
(its hard to see but theres like 40 bad mobs in there)

We could go 1.3 just do the whitlist this again but to help filter out grivers have players donate like $5 to get on the whitelist and ban the items that crash the server, like beds. just an idea thats all

Beds will be disabled in multiplayer, as they crash the entire server if someone sleeps in one. Notch doesn't tend to think this stuff through very well.

On a new world, torches disappear near spawn after death in a distant area. Placed torches in peaceful then switched to normal before dying. (confirm?)

Nevermind I fixed it, if anyone else has the same problem I just had to delete the .exe and get the new one from the MC site. And then hit don't update when it asks.



Anyone else having trouble with the .jar failing to launch now? Or better yet, know how to fix it?

Haha crap I had a feeling you were getting ready to push 1.2. Wasnt someone from bukkit supposed to be working with someone from mojang to help ease the transition process for multiplayer servers?

The new save-conversion format thing sometimes fucks worlds up, and some people report it deleting the world entirely.

Server is down, Serejai / Mino are trying to fix it.

<@Mino> Technically, the server isn't down. MC.net is preventing players from connecting to it, for some reason.
