This is the deck I built: + Show Spoiler + 1x Ruric Thar, The Unbowed 1x Batterhorn 1x Zuur-Ta Druid 1x Crocanura 1x Arrows of Justice 1x Mizzium Mortars 1x Madcap Skills 1x Grim Roustabout 1x Molten Primordial (foil) 1x Gyre Sage 1x Burning Tree Emissary 2x Kraul Warrior 1x Burst of Strength 1x Bloodfray Giant 1x Putrefy 1x Riot Piker 1x Deadbridge Goliath 1x Down//Dirty 1x Drudge Beetle 1x Deviant Glee 1x Hellraiser Goblin 1x Rubblebelt Maaka 1x Wasteland Viper 1x Gruul Cluestone 1x Rakdos Guildgate 2x Swamp 6x Mountain 7x Forest The only thing I was unsure on was the black splash, I would have had to play maindeck Aerial Predation (which I sided it twice), Phytoburst, Minotaur Aggressor, Smelt Ward Gatekeepers (with no gates), and/or Primal Visitation in order to make it straight Gruul. I could have splashed White instead and had a Boros Cluestone and Guildgate on top of having Trostani's Summoner, Armored Wolf-Rider, and/or Viashino Firstblade. I felt like doing that slowed me down too much though. Adding another 7 drop to a pretty aggressive deck didn't seem to be the way to go, and I wasn't confident of being able to T3 a Firstblade which is the only time it's powerful. Blue splash would have gotten me Give//Take, Frostburn Weird, and Izzet Staticaster and might have enabled me to play a gatekeeper with a Simic and Izzet Guildgate. That seemed weaker than the other two. The other splashable cards I didn't splash were Syndicate Enforcer (extort wasn't great in my deck and he was kinda slow), Spawn of Rix-Maadi (I felt like I had enough dorks, though in retrospect I probably should have played him over Grim Roustabout), and Trestle Troll (not the point of my deck). Despite the fact I played Gruul, the deepest color I had was blue, and I could have run an Esper deck whose power level seemed to be significantly lower: + Show Spoiler + 1x Lavinia, the Tenth 1x Whispering Madness 1x Wind Drake 1x Assassin's Strike 1x Syndicate Enforcer 1x Syndic of Tithes 1x Hussar Patrol 1x Deputy of Acquittals 1x Basilica Guards 1x Avenging Arrow 1x Opal Lake Gatekeepers 1x Leyline Phantom 1x Agoraphobia 1x Runner's Bane 1x Sage's Row Denizen 1x Inaction Injunction 1x Spell Rupture 1x Street Sweeper 1x Ascended Lawmage 1x Voidweilder 1x Stealer of Secrets 1x Cloudfin Raptor 1x Azorius Guildgate 1x Frostburn Weird Lands Like I said, much worse in almost every respect, but playable. Match 1: I ran him over without any problems. I had T2 BTE into Kraul Warrior followed by T3 Drudge Beetle into Burst of Strength to eat his guy. He died. Match 2: G1 he had no lands, G2 I had no lands, G3 he had all lands. Match 3: Lost to double Woodlot Crawler while mana screwed game 1. Won Game 2 with a fast start, lost Game 3 to killing myself with Ruric-Thar. Although, to be fair, I was dead on board no matter what, since Putrefy was my only out and it would have killed me with Ruric-Thar in play as well. Without him in play, I was dead on board to his attackers a turn earlier. Match 4: Mana screwed versus the mono-fliers deck G1 and G3, destroyed him when my deck worked. Match 5: Mirror, ended up pulling out a narrow victory. Forgot the specifics. Match 6: No lands 2 game in a row and out. Typical variance in a limited event, might have played 18 lands and cut the Roustabout as the underperformer in the deck. I thought my deck was much better than average, and I had fun when playing. Also, after I built the deck, I was thinking I may have wanted to swap a Swamp for a Mountain considering the triple red on Mizzium Mortars. It's possible I could have come back from being mana screwed if I had 1 more mountain a turn earlier to overload it and reset the game at a single digit life total.

Isn't batterhorn expensive to main-deck? Well look at the other options I listed, what'd you cut it for? In my mind, I needed something with more than 2 power to help me break through walls and other high-toughness creatures, and Batterhorn is easier to cast than Spawn of Rix-Maadi. Plus, he killed 2 Cluestones. I should also probably add that with one exception, the "no land" games were mulligans to 5 or 6.

I'd say you made the best build with what you got, assuming you didn't leave out any relevant cards. Edit: Except Frostburn Weird is infinitely better than Grim Roustabout on the splash.

![]() Surprising reliable to go off with worm and life from the loam or academy ruins + arcbound wanderer/ravenger + another artifact, too bad the storm deck took the gifts ungiven in the draft. Plus academy ruins prevents me from decking myself unless they force card draw on me. Weird sorta dredge deck i actually sided in bridge from below against the storm deck just because it didn't run many creatures.

There are far too many cards which rely on synergy to be good and it's natural that it's extremely rare to get a critical mass of any tribal cards, for example, to make an actual deck. So sometimes it's hard to even get enough playables in 2 colors because so many cards are wasted and it feels like the whole format is completely bomb dependant. None of that applies to MMA draft, of course, which is an amazing format.

Seems like something like deadbridge chant, a card you bring in for mirror midrange matchups where you have enough time to get him going. Otherwise he is just way too slow and actually fairly vulnerable.

![]() Great cheap way to play casual Magic online with your buddies. I actually bought the Android version as well, to play in the train while going to work, it's pretty smooth on my Nexus 7.

If they were to have an account that you purchase vs a copy of the game, I would instantly buy it. But because I feel that I would have to purchase 3 different copies, I feel a bit skeptical about getting into a series, but there is definitely a potential for it. If you're talking about Dotp, you're either buying a Google Play account, an iTunes account or a Steam account, and you can play with your account from whatever device that can run the platform. It sucks a bit that you can't, say, play with the same account on your iPad and your PC, but that would require from the devs to set up custom account servers instead using the sync features from Play, iTunes or Steam, which they probably couldn't afford with their budget/time. Now if you're talking about other Magic games, I'm sorry if I was off topic :D

One can only dream... :D

2 color, 17/40 land, and both an axebane guardian and a gatecreeper vine, so I don't think I could have really prevented it.
