Edit: 1-0 against American thenuts. He got blown out g1 by electrolyze and echoing truth. G2 he Mulliganed to five and couldn't stabilize. He showed me his deck after. Two kira glass, kiki JikI pestermite, and other crazy good cards. What is variance? | ||

I got in the second pick. Don't know if was a good card for me (my first pick was Warleader's Helix) but I thought that I could sell for 5+ tix and is actually online 2~3 tix. | ||

Well, lands aren't really a legitimate first/second pick in RGD draft unless the pack is just incredibly blank. You should always take spells first. On the other hand, 3 tix is not a negligible amount of value. If you're playing in a 4-3-2-2 or swiss draft, I would take a 3tix card over almost anything, because the payout curve is very shallow. If you're playing in an 8-4, however, the payout is very rewarding for drafting a 3-0 deck, so my bar for raredrafting is closer to 4-5tix. I don't think it's ever correct (value-wise) to pass something worth 5+ tix, even for a bomb like Pack Rat. That's just me, though. It hurts me too much to spew value. (Edit: Oh, and in your case, with a powerful and splashable Boros card first pick, I think the pick is probably quite correct regardless.) | ||

i never ever played magic, but im very interessted so i wanted to ask, if its a good way to start with duels of the planeswalkers to get into it? magic is such a huge thing so i dont knwo how to start and dont waste money.. ty for ur help | ||
